tannhauser 101 Posted December 16, 2015 Share Posted December 16, 2015 Is it just me, or is anyone else reminded somewhat of the third movement from Mahler's 9th Symphony when they hear the March of the Resistance? I'm digging the March. I'm not sure if it's really a fugue, but I'll have to listen again. Rey's theme is beautiful, and has some colours I wasn't quite expecting. I listened to Scherzo for X-Wings as well, and enjoyed the use of Luke's theme. The main title recording sounds wonderfully fresh and energetic. Generally the mixing sounds quite good to my ears. I'm saving the rest until I get home, because I'm in the office, and want to experience this thing in a darkened room on a good stereo with no distractions! I'm surprised that is totally different from what we assumed was the character's theme, but is a pleasant piece, that can develop in future films too.
