Jay 37,364
Tom Hardy is a really great actor but was his role in The Revenant anything special? Well, Rocky is a lock to win anyway. KK 3,307
It's shit like that misinforms the public. But I'm sure social media is singing praise of it and the brilliance of its apparent "social commentary". A lot of friends are betting on Sly. But I seriously hope its Rylance (maybe because that's the horse I bet on)

Uni 306
Wow. Wasn't expecting Rylance to win for BOS. Nice to see Steven's standing ovation in the aisle, and a nice nod to him by Rylance. Great win and speech.

Nice of him to go hug Spielberg Stallone was good, but Rylance was just a much stronger performance imo. And Spielberg did just make his career. So it was indeed sweet of him. Yes, but Rylance never hit the big leagues till now. Only after BoS did he become a more recognized name. And its probably going to get him much bigger roles from here. Dixon Hill 4,234
Louis is a funny guy. He should absolutely host. Doesn't seem like a particularly cool crowd this year. Or they're just not showing more than a couple cool people. I think I spied Danny Elfman earlier. Did the Oscars die when Nicholson stopped showing up in the front row with sunglasses on? Uni 306
I didn't expect Chris Rock to be the best host ever, but I thought he'd take the controversy in hand, diffuse it a bit, and turn everyone's attention back to the movies. He started off that way. He hasn't kept up his stride. And now it's starting to get just plain awkward. I'm not just talking about the whole diversity thing. When the presenters start upstaging the host, thing's aren't going well. Not Mr. Big and Joni Wiljami
