So according to JWFans the only two scores written after JW's golden period (1975 - 1984) that could possibly equiparate to that era are Jurassic Park and Prisoner of Azkaban?

Sounds about right.

Kinda sad to see The Reivers not even making Top 50. I think it might have to do with how obscure it is - both the film and score - rarely seen and rarely heard.

Stuff like this could be the side effect of everyone ONLY ranking their top ten. Maybe the Reivers is everyone's 15th favorite! Which means it doesn't appear at all...

Well The Reivers received one single vote at 2nd spot.

I  was also surprised that The Cowboys was not listed by anyone.

That was my vote! It didn't help it much though :D

It's quite telling that even when polling a forum of hardcore Williams fans, the list inevitably turns out with only the classic evergreens on top. Tough times for us fans of the lesser-talked-about (of course, even my own list is a mix of the classics and the underrated).

It's to be expected that science fiction, fantasy and adventure would dominate.

I put several dramas in my list.

Hey, how did I never do this?  So many of these look similar as has already been noted, but I'd never actually thought through what my top 10 might look like - here's what I came up with:

1. Star Wars

2. Superman

3. Temple of Doom

4. Empire Strikes Back

5. Raiders of the Lost Ark

6. Jaws

7. E.T.

8. 1941

9. The Cowboys

10. Witches of Eastwick

It's really only telling of the fact that we are talking about a Top 10 list for a guy who wrote like 15-20 (?) "classic evergreens" fighting to get in there as it is.

Seven Years in Tibet making the top 20 is probably the biggest surprise to me over the likes of Home Alone and The Phantom Menace. You should be happy with that 31-40 block over two Star Wars and a Harry Potter.

AI and The Lost World probably show up higher on our list than they would in a general poll. I feel like JWFan kinda underrates Schindler's List, Memoirs of a Geisha, and Catch Me If You Can relative to the praise I see elsewhere else, even though they're obviously well-appreciated here.
