Score_Fan 37 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 that have yet to be mentioned. For me, I've discovered recently, Joel Mcneely's Holes. I'd love to see that happen, especially now that Intrada can release disney scores.
Score_Fan 37 Posted January 25, 2012 Author Posted January 25, 2012 That's also a good one! I forgot about schifrin - though he has alot of unreleased music I'd hope sees the light of day sometime soon.
Jay 46,244 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Every Spielberg/Williams collaboration. 1941 is the only one truly properly and completely expanded.
Admiral Holdo 16 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 I'd like to see Intrada (they're the ones with the UMG licence needed, as I recall) expand Cocoon. Not that it cries out for expanding, but I'd like to own it without paying a ton of money. And the sound could use a little sprucing up.
KK 3,313 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Every Spielberg/Williams collaboration. 1941 is the only one truly properly and completely expanded.Ya, but Spielberg/Williams collaborations usually (with exceptions of course) to have good releases, so I don't think they'll go out of the way to work on that.
Score_Fan 37 Posted January 25, 2012 Author Posted January 25, 2012 Unfortunately, that's got no chance in hell of happening. ):
Admiral Holdo 16 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Christopher Young's Spider-man 3.Yup. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh yeah. Definitely want that one on my shelf.I'd love it if one of the labels unleashed a definitive TMP on us. That and Hook (which we pretty much know is coming) are my big wants, along with Cocoon.
Koray Savas 2,260 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Cocoon (Horner)Gremlins 2: A New Batch (Goldsmith)The Mummy (Goldsmith)The Lion King (Zimmer)Call Of Duty (Giacchino, et al.)

indy4 160 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 The Polar ExpressThe Lion KingDaddy-O (and really anything by John Williams)
Ravi Krishna 132 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 The Lion King (Hans Zimmer)DuckTales (Ron Jones)Mulan (Jerry Goldsmith)Hook (John Williams)
Fozmo 13 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Basil Poledouris - Starship Troopers.Although I think Varese have it safely locked in their vaults.
Greg1138 3 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 All the ones above.Plus, with Intrada's relationship with Disney apparently flourishing, I'd love them to dig Henry Mancini's "Condorman" out and give that a release finally. And though I don't think it will happen (Varese hold the rights again), I'd dearly love one of these labels to have a bash with Marc Shaiman's "City Slickers"
Richard P 5,303 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Christopher Young's Spider-man 3.This. I'm sure it will happen eventually, by which time whichever asshole has the sessions will have leaked it all anyway.I'd also like to see:JNH's Falling Down.Zimmer's GladiatorElfman's Sleepy Hollow. That's not a grail list, just stuff that would make me really excited.
tharpdevenport 4 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 An incomplete list of personal favorites I want to see. All would be complete, remastered."Something Wicked This Way Comes" (rejected score; Georges Delerue)"Duel""The Ten Commandments""Gladiator" (rejected 1992 boxing film score; Jerry Goldsmith)"Star Trek: First Contact" (Jerry & Joel Goldsmith)"Coming to America""Beverly Hills Cop III" (both these by Nile Rogers)"Psycho" (original recording; I don't care if it's mastered from those stems)"Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure""Salem's Lot" (Harry Sukman)"Dr. Detroit" (Schifrin)
Jonesy 55 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 I think Blade Runner needs a proper and complete release. The current albums contain SFX.
Incanus 5,890 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 John Williams' DraculaThat would be awesome.
Incanus 5,890 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 John Williams' Jane EyreI wonder if that would be possible. I seem to remember that the tapes were lost. Or was it the sheet music. Or both. I recall reading that Williams had to transcribe the Jane Eyre Suite for the Boston Pops album Pops Britannia by ear from the soundtrack album since the original manuscripts held by the studio were destroyed.
Jay 46,244 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Dracula and Jane Eyre are two Williams OSTs I don't have at all
Rachael Foley 10,164 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 The Lost WorldCrystal SkullTemple of DoomLast CrusadeBack to the Future 2 and 3.
KK 3,313 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Dracula and Jane Eyre are two Williams OSTs I don't have at all You should get that fixed...you're missing out
Jay 46,244 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Well I have the music obviously. But I'd like to legally own them on physical media for less then $100 each
SF1_freeze 138 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 I would most like to see complete releases ofThe Lost WorldJurassic ParkHookPoATemple of DoomFar and AwayThe Lion King (i still don't understand how Zimmer could create such a masterpiece...)
Marian Schedenig 11,695 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Dracula and Jane Eyre are two Williams OSTs I don't have at all You should get that fixed...you're missing out Majorly.Pretty sure that's not a word, but it's still true.
Trent B 354 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Here's my list I'd love to have legally in complete form. I'll list the ones Varèse has....I know those won't have a chance in hell knowing Varèse.Air Force OneThe AbyssVolcanoStarship TroopersBack To The Future Part 3Star Trek: NemesisSmall SoldiersThe Matrix (this still pisses me off!)Stargate (like with the Matrix it pisses me off this was only slightly expanded)Die Hard 2: Die HarderThese next ones I'm sure will come out eventually...just a matter of when..Star Trek The Motion PictureStar Trek VI: The Undiscovered CountryStar Trek: GenerationsStar Trek: InsurrectionStar Trek: First ContactDinosaurHookJurassic ParkThe Lost World: Jurassic ParkLost In Space (Broughton)Spider-Man 1-3 (no chance in hell though with those)Star Wars Episode IStar Wars Episode IIStar Wars Episode IIIThe Matrix ReloadedThe Matrix RevolutionsThe MummyThe Mummy ReturnsTwisterFantastic 4 (both scores) - OttmanDie Hard With A Vengeance
Jay 46,244 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Varese does NOT have rights to Stargate in perpetuity
Trent B 354 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Varese does NOT have rights to Stargate in perpetuityHuh, interesting. Well that may give some hope then for La-La Land being able to release a full complete version some point down the road.
Corellian2019 495 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 I think Blade Runner needs a proper and complete release. The current albums contain SFX.I agree, I would've included it except that I really don't think UMG and Vangelis will allow a specialty label near such a property since the Trilogy album was released only 5 years ago.And while we're at it, I should add the first two BHC movies to my list.
Xander Harris 9,677 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 All Spielberg/Williams collaborations, Harry Potters and all scores held hostage by Lucasfilm for me personally.
shockwave 8 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Basil Poledouris - Starship Troopers.Although I think Varese have it safely locked in their vaults.Yeah I hope maybe someday this century from Varese a DX ed.On the top of my list a proper complete release to The Hunt for Red October. I would say a 2 disc set.Runner up as you mentioned 'Fozmo' Starship TroopersPredator 2Wing Commander (Sorry I have a soft spot for bombastic scores)Star Trek: TMP, Generations, First ContactSW: ROTSI'm guessing Intrada will release Trek VI sometime this year I hope. And tooo many more to list.
Trent B 354 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 All Spielberg/Williams collaborations, Harry Potters and all scores held hostage by Lucasfilm for me personally.Held hostage? lol Indeed.
Charlie Brigden 7 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 BHC?Beverly Hills Cop, I'd imagine.I'd like the Treks, a Rambo remaster with unused end title, all four Jaws and Batman & Robin.
Jill Sandwich 11,168 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 MV will fight hard to get Batman & Robin released, even if things look dim at the moment.
Trent B 354 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Ah shit I forgot to add Back To The Future Part 2 to my list. I could see Intrada doing that one, all though I wonder if there would be as much interest with that release compared to the first Back To The Future score.I'm happy with the boots for Back To The Future Parts 2 and 3. All though nothing beats actually having them on a physical CD and as a legal release.
Corellian2019 495 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 BHC?Yes, Charlie Brigden is correct, I was referring to Beverly Hills Cop
tharpdevenport 4 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Big Hookin' Co...Ah ... Commando.Yeah, that's the ticket.
Jill Sandwich 11,168 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Commando is totally unlistenable, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
Jill Sandwich 11,168 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 It made my ears bleed, but I had to have it because I knew it'd sell out and I'm a Horner completist.
Jilal 681 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Ah shit I forgot to add Back To The Future Part 2 to my list. I could see Intrada doing that one, all though I wonder if there would be as much interest with that release compared to the first Back To The Future score.I'm happy with the boots for Back To The Future Parts 2 and 3. All though nothing beats actually having them on a physical CD and as a legal release. They sound fabulous. No noise or whatever. I wonder how the person that made these bootlegs managed to do that. I knew someone who had a friend that had the master tapes.
Jonesy 55 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 I think Blade Runner needs a proper and complete release. The current albums contain SFX.I agree, I would've included it except that I really don't think UMG and Vangelis will allow a specialty label near such a property since the Trilogy album was released only 5 years ago. That means Vangelis owns the rights of Blade Runner music.
Naïve Old Fart 13,025 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Howzabout everything not previously released in its complete form by Williams, Goldsmith, and Barry. Add to that; "Missing", "The Bounty", and a full version of "Blade Runner". That should sastify most people.Ooh, and "The Right Stuff", please!
