  1. "You have the manersh of a goat, and you shmell like a dungheap, and you've no idea of your potenshall. Now... get out!"
  2. Fuck the internet era. I don't give a single goddamn about all those faceless troll cowards, who hide behind their anonymity, taking pot-shots at well-loved pieces of entertainment, simply because they upset whatever group's gossamer sensitivities these people have aligned themselves with, this week. Screw the lot of them. They have no idea of history, message, or context. They are ignorance, prejudice, and herd mentality personified.
  3. Good question! As soon as a woman was announced, the audience had to alter its perceptions and expectations, and adjust to a Doctor who would not act the way that a man would act. Also, the production team needed to write differently for a female Doctor. The emphasis changed, dramatically, when Whittaker took over, to the detriment of the show. I've said it before and I'll say it again: that Chibnall's tenure turned out to be so monumentally awful, had absolutely nothing to do with her. Given the right script, she can be a great actor, but she was hamstrung time and time again, by poor scripts, and lacklustre and unimaginative direction, and in the end, audiences gave up. It's an established fact that 'The Legend Of The Sea Devils' is the lowest-watched DW story in its entire 60 year history - and for a damn good reason! It's clear that Chibnall wanted to do something radical with DW, and to say something unique, but he had no idea how to do it, and he had no idea how to say it.
  4. I kind of agree here. Any film with Paul Giamatti, David Warner, Tim Roth, Helena Bonham Carter, Erik is Avari, Linda Harrison, and Michael Clarke Duncan (not to mention Chuck Heston himself), can't be all bad. It's beautifully shot by Philip Rousselot. How Wahlberg ever got to be a leading man in anything is quite beyond me.
  5. At no point does @filmmusic say that JAWS 2 is a better film than JAWS. Filmmusic merely says that Filmmusic prefers it to JAWS.
  6. "Our shituation hash not improved."
  7. ESCAPE FROM THE PLANET OF THE APES is great. Eric Braeden is absolutely chilling, as Dr. Hasslein. Jerry's score is good, too.
  8. When DOCTOR WHO needs a 15-minute "explanation video" posted by the showrunner, then you know that it's in trouble. The death knell for DW was tolled the minute that Whittaker was revealed as 13.
  9. "Well... we're back... in the car, again."
  10. I didn't understand a single second, of 'Flux'.
  11. The Punster Mental health has been done far more effectively, in DW ('In The Forest Of The Night'/'The Mind Of Evil').
  12. My favourite Matrix line, said by my favourite Matrix character
