That stupid Circus Organ Sweetener should have just been included on the damn Concord. Lazy AF!

Anyone who's seen the film even once knows how memorable that little sweetener is.

One of my favorite Williams action cues:

Not all of the stylistic shifting in this score works, but this track is so muscular it sits well with past Indy setpieces. Particularly this segment, ending at 2:57...wow. Imagine how this sound with a gutsier, rougher recording like the first two Indy scores!

    Hey guys,

Just found this this little gem of John playing the Luke and Leia theme after what sounds like an interview in the 80s. Not sure if it’s been posted before but if not then I hope you enjoy

This is, probably, my favourite The Clash song. I have a 2-cd "best of", in the car. LONDON CALLING is certainly a fantastic record, but, for me, the sprawling SANDINISTA! just beats it.

Yes it certainly does!  I have listened to that bit over and over so many times.  You are spot on with the nostalgic tone it has.  It's a remarkably warm bit.

Yeah, I love that, I think of it as a theme for Luke’s squad.

Totally, that bit has that lovely nostalgic tone that makes TFA's score so special to me. Gorgeous.

The part in 'Han and Leia' when Finn and Poe reunite, especially the mini reprise at 2:10.

No, it's just a cue from the film score.  It's 9M2, though we don't know the original cue title (because the sheet music leak was a weird one where it basically had every cue from the film EXCEPT the ones that were on the OST).  But I think "Keeping Up With The Joneses" is a very funny and fitting name for an OST album track.

It scored an early cut of the biplane sequence (air part and land part), and Spielberg must have not liked the way the whole thing came out because the scene was re-edited, the first half of Williams' cue was dropped, and the second part was replaced by a re-write, and then THAT rewrite had its very ending replacing again by another new ending.

No, that is 3M3/4M1 The Elephant Ride, which can be heard in its entirety in the film.  Again Williams just chose a more interesting name for OST album purposes.

Yes, but even then only "The Call Of The Crystal" and "The Adventures Of Mutt" are proper concert arrangements;  The track called "Irina's Theme" is simply an assembly of some bits from various film cues.  And of course "The Raiders March" is the end credits cue from the first film.

That's because again Williams chose a unique NAME for an OST track to be more fitting for an OST track.  The OST track called "Marion's Theme" is actually 10M4 En Bateau followed by 4M2 To Cairo.  Williams didn't actually write a proper concert arrangement of Marion's Theme until 2008, and then it wasn't recorded at the IJ4 sessions, sadly, but premiered live in concert.  For years we could only listen to it via recordings of live concert appearances until it finally premiered as a studio recording on Spielberg/Williams III in 2017.

Incidentally, he also wrote a proper concert arrangement of Irina's Theme that premiered in concert in 2008 as well, but that still hasn't received a proper studio recording.  It's awesome, too.

The whole cue 'Short Round's Theme' is actually heard in full in the film, so it's not a concert arrangement either.

One of my favorite renditions of the Force Theme and I feel it's overlooked as well, often because the Binary Sunset cue wins all the time in ANH, is the rendition @1:29 in 'Burning Homestead'.  Lots of emotion tied to this cue.

It's also, IMO, the darkest scene in all of the movies.  No scene in any Star Wars movie is as grim or dark.

Surprised this one hasn’t been mentioned yet! I love the herald-like Trumpets and the way Rey’s Theme and Poe’s lead up to this big statement. It feels joyous and bittersweet at the same time.

    Oh you know it.

I can basically recite it now.

"I got to know and work with Johnny Williams on Star Wars cause Steven who recommended him.  And it was great you know, you know that was the best part about making the movie for me was going to the scoring sessions, cause I didn't have to do anything. Cause with Johnny it's just fantastic.  Going to the scoring sessions was like watching the movie get made.  I'm working with the greatest composer, who everything he does is brilliant, and the greatest director, who everything he does is brilliant and a great writer, everything he does is brilliant.  I didn't have to anything I just sorta sit around and said this is fantastic!  Cause you know it really was! "

I can still remember November 2008 like it was yesterday.  I got out of work, went home, grabbed the Concord Set, hopped back in my car and went for a 3-4 hour drive while listening to it all.  Playing tracks on repeat most of the time.  Just in absolute pure joy as to what I was listening to.
