Bellosh got a reaction from Brando in Best and Worst JW trailer music?
Gonna go with my two favorites:
Crystal Skull trailer #2. the syncing of the 'rocket sled timer' with that fanfare part of the Raiders March, still get chills to this day. the hype for that movie back then was palpable.
and of course, War Horse. i will still tear up to that theme
War Horse crushes me, man

No jokes today, just an unfortunate apparent reality.

I am not sure if this is JW or not, but I LOVED the Big Bold Brassy sound of the Main Star Wars theme at 1:@6

Bellosh reacted to Erik Woods in Best and Worst JW trailer music?
Nixon, IMO, is hands down the single greatest trailer ever cut with the single greatest piece of trailer music of all time! Nothing comes even close.
I think the worst use of Williams' music in any trailer is the Dial of Destiny trailer.

Bellosh reacted to Edmilson in Best and Worst JW trailer music?
Not written by JW himself, but I'll always remember the creepy version of the Jurassic Park theme for the first World:
The Zimmerized Force theme that ends TLJ's trailer is so cliche and silly that it's actually fun:

Although a rarity, from time to time, JW has written music to score the trailer to films he's worked on. Other times, his music for the film is used in the trailer for said film. What do you consider to be the best and worst of the bunch?
Not at all a hot take, the best has to be the HP1 teaser trailer:
For me, runner up would be Nixon, the music truly does capture "the turbulent years":
What are your picks? Which are the worst?

Bellosh reacted to Not Mr. Big in Best and Worst JW trailer music?
It's between the War Horse trailer and the Lincoln trailer. Both were peak "JW score anticipation" events

Bellosh got a reaction from Mr. Hooper in The Easter tradition of watching 'The Ten Commandments' starts soon...!
I'm not religious but this and The Rugrats Passover special were staples for me growing up!
I remember they used to split The Ten Commandments into two nights! (Sun/Mon)
I don't know what drew me to it as a kid, I guess even at such a young age i realized how much of an epic it truly was!
Also.... hot take....Exodus: Gods and Kings was dope.

This sums it up so well.
Deep down I think we all (besides Thor) have a kink for cues never getting released and chatting about them here 😏

I’m jealous too. I wish I could remove it from my memory and enjoy it for the first time again.
Really that’s what being a soundtrack fan is, chasing a high.

For anyone who can tune in to the ABC network, get ready to hunker down for several hours of "Chuck" Heston—accompanied by Elmer Bernstein's glorious score!

Oh, it's the DeMille version, which means you'll be watching this until mid-April

Bellosh reacted to Gabriel Bezerra in The Easter tradition of watching 'The Ten Commandments' starts soon...!
Watched the abridged version yesterday in The Prince of Egypt... might be my favourite Zimmer score and it's such a great movie.
As for The Ten Commandments, it's really an EPIC in every sense of the word, a really good adaptation and even the added parts that were not in the book works really well. Still, the Aaron fandom can't catch a break, neither movie adapts him right, and both choose to ignore the part where Moses spends his childhood with his mother, still, it works, I understand the adaptation.
(How did Moses managed to see the burning bush miles away, his eyesight was a godsend. It always makes me laugh.)

Bellosh got a reaction from Yavar Moradi in Star Wars is better than everything
Has Star Wars reached the Godzilla-verse where there is just so much good and bad entries, that its basically like fighting over Coke and Pepsi.
Nobody cares which side you're on?
Shit, it seems like even Godzilla fans don't give a shit if someone hates on something in it. They just go "meh, whatever, they're probably right, but i don't care."
Is this a silver lining for Star Wars?

Bellosh reacted to Andy in John Williams' Film Night at Tanglewood, Aug 2 and 3, 2024
It would be really nice to call attention to the preservation efforts and bring some awareness to the “normies”. And of course, Matessino would reciprocate and graciously acknowledge the importance of such work. More general awareness would be a benefit to the projects yet to be futureproofed.

Ok, I didn't read that thoroughly enough, re talking specifically about the expansion process. I don't know what MM talked about at the Superman concert.
