Candyman by Philip Glass: Beautiful main theme and greatly used through the score. I love the big part the choir plays in the score. And I aslo like the organ incorporated into some tracks.

Hellraiser by Christopher Young: The two main themes are stunning, haunting and have a really great gothic tone that I love. I think that maybe the album would have benefited if some of the more ambient, experimental tracks were left out, but nevertheless, this is a fantastic score.

Could anyone recommend me some more horror scores like this two?

Bad Times at the El Royale by Michael Giacchino: I have to disagree with what Jay said a couple of post up this one. While I think it would have benefited from a shorter presentation leaving out some quieter cues, especially from the first half, I don't think it's a boring score and I really like the atmosphere it creates. It's quite a different score from Giacchino's usual style and it reminds me of Brian Tyler's Yellowstone and some of the scores by the Cave-Ellis duo, like Hell or High Water or Wind River.

I think is not exactly accurate but today I'm going to watch the movie again and I will try to find any mistakes. But for now, this is what I found out:

    02 Prologue
    08 Wings & Blasters
    09 Utmost Ghost
    04 World's Greatest Grandma
    03 Ghost in the Machine
    07 Ava's Story
    05 A Little Nudge
    15 Partners
    06 Feds
    10 Tracker Swarm
    13 Quantum Leap
    12 Misdirection
    14 I Shrink, Therefore I Am
    16 Windshield Wipeout
    17 Hot Wheels
    19 A Flock of Seagulls
    11 Cautious as a Hurricane
    20 San Francisco Giant
    21 Ghost = Toast
    18 Revivification
    22 Reduce Yourself
01 It Ain't Over Till The Lady Wasp Stings
    23 Quit Screwing Around
    24 Anthropodie

EDIT: I changed the titles format by recommendation of Disco Stu

Ant-Man by Christophe Beck: I think I had never listened to any of Beck's work before this one, but this really impressed me and still does. The main theme is really catchy and I love how he uses it in almost every track in different variations. I also like the 60's spy thriller vibe in some of the cues like "Surfing on Ants" or in the "Theme from Ant-Man" itself. And "Tales to Astonish!" is a lot of fun. One of the best of the MCU for me.

Ant-Man and the Wasp by Christophe Beck: Just as fun and entertaining as the first one (well, maybe a step down because of some more filler cues). The Wasp theme, while maybe not as catchy as Ant-Man's theme, is fantastic and full of energy. And I love that the secondary theme from the first movie (used as some kind of Family Theme) returns here with some brilliant statements like the ones in "Prologue" or  "Cautious as a Hurricane".

Mission Impossible Rogue Nation by Joe Kraemer: When it came out I listened to it and I liked it but it didn't clicked instantly. Now I have revisited it and is really one of the best of the saga. The use of Schifrin's themes adapted into Kraemer's own material is fantastic and it has some of the best action cues I have heard in a while. Special mention to "The A400" and of course "Morocco Pursuit"

Mission impossible Fallout by Lorne Balfe: Overall, a disappointment. I was hoping that maybe Balfe would be able to create something mildly memorable like he has done with things like The LEGO Batman Movie or other animation scores like Home. But he just copies most of Inception/The Dark Knight/Mad Max tracks and mixes them with the Mission impossible theme. There are some nice action tracks, but the excessively long album does not help and in the end it's just repetitive and boring. I hope in the movie works well, because the movie looks terrfic and I'm planning to watch it, but the score on its own is really disappointing.

Not to quibble, but it's customary in this thread to keep the original track number for ease of finding them while making a playlist.

    For instance:
    02 Prologue
    08 Wings & Blasters
    09 Utmost Ghost
    04 World's Greatest Grandma
    etc. etc.

    Or often both, such as:
    01 OST02 Prologue
    02 OST08 Wings & Blasters
    03 OST09 Utmost Ghost
    04 OST04 World's Greatest Grandma
    etc. etc.

One thing I really like about this one is the use of the choir. In the first one it appeared, but more disperse, playing with great effect in the final moments of the movie, but here you can hear it almost from the beginning as an individual force that helps the score to sound much more intense and emotional. Especially with the Fallen Kingdom theme.

Lucky you that have already see the movie. In my country it does not come until the 3rd of August (beacuse of the damn World Championship of Football).

Anyway, about the score in the album, I have just listened to it and while I think it's a step down from the first one (at least on the first listen), but it's as enjoyable. The main theme is not as present, but for the most part is changed with what I suppose it's the Elastigirl theme (that appears in Elastigirl is Back). The action for some tracks feels a bit chaotic, in the sense that is not as rythmic and cohesive as it was in the first one, but that's just in the middle section of the score, because in the last third the action comes back to it's pure Giacchino-jazzy style (listen to Looks Like I Picked the Wrong Day to Quit Oxygen)

About other new themes, I don't inmediatly recognize them, but I think that Ambassador Ambush could be the equivalent to Kronos Unveiled with the theme for the new villain. I also love the fact that the little melody for the Underminer that appeared at the end of the first one becomes his theme in Considere Yourself Undermined.

Great score, altough not as great as the first one, but maybe that's because I have listened to that one a lot of times. Giacchino has two good scores in a row (in one day to be more precise)!

Well, I think L3's theme in Mine Mission is a clear callback to March of the Resistance. But the quieter statements of the theme remind me of something else, but I can't figure out what (and is not The Grail Theme)

He also says they didn't really follow the temp as it didn't seem right. The Reminiscence Therapy is Powell's idea.

I think there is a softer variation almost at the begining when Han & Qi'ra kiss just before the Corellia Chase track

It starts with the usual end credits fanfare but it segues to the Han's theme sooner than in other end credits. The list of themes would be something like this. It's not 100% accurate but I think is pretty much like this:
    -End Credits Fanfare
-Han Heroic Theme (Similar to Adventures of Han)
-L3 Theme (Similar to Break Out version)
-Han Heroic Theme (Similar to Adventures of Han)
-Love Theme (similar to The Good Guy version)
-L3 Theme (Softer version like the beginning of L3 & The Millenium Falcon, before it starts in the military setting of Mine Mission)
-More Han's Theme (Something like Corellia Chase)
-Searching Theme (I think is the Corellia Chase version)
-Some Crew's theme (Maybe Train Heist)
-More Han's Theme (I think this is the most similar to Adventures of Han)
-Chewbacca's Theme (Flying with Chewie version)

Did anyone else catch the cameo of EpIV Imperial motif in "Train Heist"? Nice touch, imho:

Also, nice cameos/lifts of two not-so obvious moments from ANH ("Blasting Off") and TESB ("Attack Position") in the cue "Reminscence Therapy":

I also liked a lot the Holst-like harmonic texture in the strings in a couple of action moments, a nice throwback to Williams' Planets pastiche for the original film:

Oh dear, the score is HORRIBLE - Williams's pastiche mixed with Zimmerish RCP/MV tropes - slamming percussion and seemingly endless ostinati over most of the score. Also utterly tasteless Karl Jenkins's Adiemusesque choral mush thrown in. Powell dropped the ball. It may be a small improvement over Rogue One though, but that doesn't say much at all i'm afraid. I don't get what people are hearing in this. Williams's sole track is on the other hand is very good, it is obvious that nothing Powell did lives up to it. I am deleting Powell's score right away, saving only Williams's track. Why not hire someone competent, like say Goldenthal?

I'm just a few tracks in, and I'm loving what I'm hearing by far. Has anyone noticed some kind of action arrangement of one of the Empire motifs from ANH in the track Train Heist at around 3:35? It's a coincidence or is it the real theme?

I also liked Giacchino's score, but I don't know if it was the lack of time or that maybe he was trying too hard to sound like Williams, but this ends up being better, because Powell is able to introduce his style, but without leaving the Star Wars sound, and that's what I think Giacchino should have done. (Well, he did that in a few cues, but for most of the score is like he is trying to sound like Williams, not like himself).
