    Are your parties dull?

Can't get John Williams on your guest list?

Bring home your very own life-sized John Williams for your next party!

"I got my John Williams through the mail and could not be more pleased. Everyone wanted a picture with him! He was the hit of Tanglewood! And Karen in customer service was great!"

If they have no more single disks they should send you the new Indy box as replacement.

Sadly yes. They got back to me and said they will rectify the issue. We shall see.

Thank you. My apologies to anyone I offended, my opinion wasn’t meant to upset anyone. Still shuddering slightly that you thought I was Alex!
A happy Thanksgiving to all those who observe it.

The next mission for the J-Team should be making William Ross reveal which cues from Chamber of Secrets and DoD he actually wrote

It's funny that this guy's personality is so specific that we were able to link a new member's profile to a random Facebook account in under 2 hours. Don't ever underestimate the investigative skills of the J-Team!

And now he's come to spread his toxicity to JWFan (where before now there was absolutely no toxicity whatsoever, it was completely friendly and everybody loved, respected and agreed with one another)!

That's not what @JTW is saying. It costs too much for the actual value of physical media these days.

Can you name any other 5-cd set of anything that sells for $150 price while including nothing new?

    The angst is the price.
$150 for five discs of all previously-released music minus the extra Concord disc.
In 2008, I paid £25 for the Concord box. I thought that it was a decent bargain. This is nothing short of an absolute rip-off.

Maybe moder music fans believe that normal CDs used to cost that much.

Still, this is just selling old existing editions with a cardboard box around it. 50$ would be an appropriate price for that box. People overseas will have to pay probably double the price anyway.

But 150$ is just greedy and unethical. Shame on Disney. Really.

When I look at contemporary soundtracks I can hardly imagine that new soundtrack fans are interested in such ancient un-modern scores like Indiana Jones. But if they are interested in ancient un-modern media like CDs, they might also be listening to John Williams. Who knows.

I think we’re all actually looking at this situation the wrong way. Hear me out.

First, Disney, knowing that they’re responsible for releasing likely the last OST of a great and popular composer’s career, offers the album for sale for approximately 20 minutes on some dark corner of the web instead of allowing preorders on Amazon where it could be gauged what the demand would be. Then they manage to piss off literally everyone interested in the OST—even those who managed to order it—by repeatedly delaying the ship date, encouraging the secondary market extortion of desperate CD completists, and sporadically making additional copies available for sale in a sick game of online retail whack-a-mole that’s been going on for four months now.

After all this, you’d think there’d be nothing left Disney could do to insult and antagonize the devoted CD collecting crowd, but now they spring this “complete” box set of scores of us at a ridiculous price, tempting collectors who missed out on the DoD CD to basically pay 5x the money to get the one disc they actually want.

You gotta admire the sociopathic genius behind it all.

Like Jay I think the fact that these are completely unaltered versions of existing releases is a hint, that Williams wasn't involved.

Somehow this just repackaging stuff without adding any value reminds me a little on how Disney is making movies these days. This seems to be in line with some kind of (un)creative strategy for every output of the company.

Next up: repackaging the SW Anthology set (minus the bonus disc) with the PT and ST OSTs. Every note John Williams recorded for the Skywalker Saga, obviously. 9 discs. $1199.
