Popular Post jamesluckard 81 Posted November 22, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 22, 2023 After all this drama, looks like Disney is releasing a 5-disc boxset in March 2024 containing all the Indy soundtrack albums, including Dial of Destiny. Yes, it's $150, but that's still less than the DoD CD alone is going for right now: https://www.disneymusicemporium.com/product/XVCD64/indiana-jones-the-complete-cd-collection?cp=null All credit to jamoase at the FSM board for posting this news. You can see the tracklistings on the image if you zoom. The CDs for the first three films are the 2008 Concord expansions The CD for the fourth film is the normal 2008 album. They're dropping the fifth disc from the Concord set, with the additional cues. The fifth disc in this set will be the regular Dial of Destiny album, identical to the OOP standalone album. crumbs, KittBash, BB-8 and 17 others 4 1 1 1 2 3 1 1 2 3 1

Popular Post crumbs 15,888 Posted November 22, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 22, 2023 So the 2008 Indy Concords are the new 1997 SW SEs. We're stuck with them for decades. How infuriating!!! I find it hard to believe nobody along the chain raised the idea of a box set with complete scores, and now we'll be stuck with this pathetic excuse for a box set for years to come. GerateWohl 6,395 Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 30 $$ per CD? Now they are going completely crazy. That is robbery. Luckily I have the concord set and DoD OST, so I don't need that set. mstrox and enderdrag64 2

Popular Post Richard P 5,118 Posted November 22, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 22, 2023 Ugh, a further demonstration of why speciality labels should be handling releases like this. Gladiator got this shit as well with one of the anniversary set, where the marketing people described it as 'all the music from the oscar-winning soundtrack', which is semantically on extremely shaky ground, factually. (it's correct if interpreted in a certain way, but incorrect by most reasonable assumptions). 1 hour ago, crumbs said: How infuriating!!! Incanus 5,884 Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 Disney is releasing a new CD collection in 2024. Bespin Copilot 10,514 Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 Well, order this set if you didn't already have the 2008 set or the individual CDs. I assume it's the exact same content as the previous Concord releases. I think this falls within Disney's desire to make the least effort in hoping for a greater profit. It's essentially a repackaging. One cannot expect otherwise from a company in difficulty. BB-8 1

Bespin Copilot 10,514 Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 Remember that there were some concerns about the speed of the cues used to make the edits on the first CD (nothing serious; the speed of the elements was obviously fixed by ear at that time). However, it was a concern back in 2008. At that time, I was hesitant to buy the box set, thinking, 'What if they 'correct' those minor technicalities in the next edition?' So today, we have our answer: they won't correct anything. Never. BB-8 1
Popular Post Tydirium 1,560 Posted November 22, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 22, 2023 Is it possible the first four films will at least be “remastered” for this release? …Or based on the 2018 SW releases, should we hope they won’t be? Brónach, ThePenitentMan1, Brando and 2 others 5
