It was these.  I think they're being delivered tomorrow.  I will post with a fresh pic, complete with beverage, once they are in my possession.

I think some of the earlier recordings aren't as well done, but their stuff in the last 10-ish years all sounds great IMO

Uncultured swines. Seem to remember when I saw Phantom Menace for my birthday in '99 watching the film when midway this pair of bare feet suddenly were propped on the top of the empty seat next to me. The unfortunate highlight of the entire movie.

That is so fucking nasty. I've seen people do this in the U.S., and I die a little inside every time.

The thing I like the most about the untouched edition is how desolate and remote Mos Eisley feels. It suits the atmosphere of the place so much better,

On the other hand, I prefer the 1997 remaster of the Battle of Yavin

    Star Wars

Not the New Hope tinkered version, but the original version. Most of the original visual effects look better than the cartoonish CGI touch-ups in the 1997 and 2004 versions, especially the opening sequence, and it drops the awful Han-Jabba scene. (Not to mention Han shot first.) I just like the purity of how audiences originally saw it back in 1977, even down to the Fox copyright logo at the end.

Awesome!  Thanks for the input.  I also didn't realize there was a giant book in the set.  I love books.  Especially giant ones about film scores.  Come to think of it, I've never had a giant book all about film scores.  Never even seen one...

Ken Thorne did a very good job, under extraordinary circumstances. He doesn't get enough credit for what he did.

Superman: The Movie sounds better than the Rhino release, and contains a bunch of cool alternates that weren't on that Superman II & III are actually pretty fun.  II is primarily comprised of Superman: The Movie material, but its all arranged together in new ways.  Superman III is a pretty wacky comedy score Superman IV is a SURPRISINGLY good score.  Like you I was originally only interested in the JW tracks, but it turns out that Courage's score is honestly quite good, all the way through! The Ron Jones cartoon scores are like a nice bonus feature Just my humble opinion.

An LP of S: IV was planned, but shelved. The only - only - way to get your mits on the score, is by forking over for the Blue Box. Or you can live without it, for the rest of your life. The choice is hours.

No, but it'll probably happen one day. Oh, and when did using the armrest gaps between the seats/the top of an unoccupied seat to put your feet up become a thing?

Ignorant fuckers could do with remembering they're not in their bloody living rooms.

I bought this in 1980. It had a clarity, and a presence I had never heard, in an OST.
It still sounds fresh as a daisy...and it had (then) rare music.

I'm guessing the car goes into a river, as opposed to his fingering skillz being so advanced that Catherine/Shazza 'squirts' so much the car fills up.

Yes, it is composed by Williams for the TESB Suite. And it is the recording of Charles Gerhardt.
