I do plan to milk the "MS card" for all it's word when it come to people commenting on my poor spelling. Which has gotten worse of late, much to my own chagrin. At least I know what the reason for that is now.

Just an update that we've been working all weekend to secure the proper master. The award goes to Neil Bulk for his resourcefulness. We'll have an updated master going to the plant within the next couple of days. Anyone who has the set is of course welcome to an upgrade.
Karol, you should trade yours for the version featuring Neil's resourcefulness.

This may be somewhat off-topic, but could we work on revising the "DVD & Blu-ray" listing to reflect the Williams-related featurettes/appearances which are true HD on a Blu-ray release vs. upscaled from SD to HD?
For example, the featurette from the Blu-ray of Saving Private Ryan is upscaled from SD (from the DVD release) to HD. The specs for various Blu-rays often indicate that some of the "special features" are in SD, but they don't explicitly indicate which are and which aren't.
From the standpoint of the Williams-related material only, I'd rather know ahead of time what I'm getting when I buy a Blu-ray release, especially when I'm upgrading from DVD.

Hopefully it's a celebration of one of film music's most iconic 90s years!

Remember 1999? The Phantom Menace. Even before I saaw the film months later I listened to the OST over and over again. You could sense that John Williams put a hell of a lot of effort into this score. He knew it wasnt just another project. It was a Star Wars score. It was a huge thing. Expectations were enormous and he needed to give his A game.
Sadly the movie was shot, and not only that. His music was really butchered beyond belief.
Natrurally he did the other two films, but it felt different, musically. More broad. More typically JW. I've always felt he wasnt giving quite as much as he did with TPM. He already knew that he didnt need to write anything for the climactic battle for the second film for instance. He didnt have to re-record the orchestra part of DOTF for the third film. And every one of the prequels has the exact same rendition of the main title.
John Williams still did amazing work for those two films, far above and beyond what one could expect from such appaling films. But it didnt matter as much.
For his seventh Star Wars films things seem different again. This isnt some score he's writing in between 3 other projects on teh quicxk, like AOTC. He's got loads of time, a director who, despite his faults does place a lot of importance on music in his films and hired John Williams rather then his regular composer for this.
Star Wars 7 matters something to John Williams, and he will once again give his A game!

Your post offers no reasons to change any of the titles back. In fact, I fail to see why it exists other than to return snark for snark.
Ah, ok. I've fixed the title in my post.
I understand the idea well enough, thank you. I also believe that many of these typos were introduced by the bootleggers and not by anyone involved in the actual scoring process. Whatever.
In the future, I'll just post lists as I find them and make a note at the bottom about any suspected typos I've noticed.

But this isn't a thread where we make up our own titles; its a thread where we share all known actual internal information....

John Thomas Williams was a major name in the jazz field in the 50's. He toured extensively with Stan Getz and Bob Brookmeir. I've tried to collect all of his recording, not only for interest on his performance and even composing abilities, but to be sure where he played and where John Towner Williams did. There is an obvious diference in styles, so I've been able through the years, and with some help of a couple of Jazz buffs and record producers to exclude some recordings from John Towner Williams list of recordings that were previously atributed to him.
John Thomas Williams left his professional music carreer behind, has he got ahare of all the mess going on back then, with all the drugs and drinking, leading to the death of several colleagues and friends. As mentioned above, he went into public service and stay active as a musician on a local basis only, even creating a jazz festival in Florida.

 
Just for completeness regarding the additional music for "Settling With Steven" it can be found on Vol 2, Track 16 "The Land Race (complete final version)" at 8:27-9:27 min marks. It can also be found in the other "Land Race" track on Vol 2 as well however the timings would be different due to it being a shorter track.
 
P.S. After adding the extra music from "The Land Race (complete final version)" with "Settling With Steven" I decided to include Track 29 (Joseph and Shannon) making it into a single track. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a clean edit between the Vol 2 insert and "Joseph and Shannon" so I settled with a slightly longer version of the Vol 2 insert (at about 1 min 13 secs, instead of 1 min) and trimmed "Joseph and Shannon" to match. It worked so much better that way.
