It's why some people prefer 2010: The Year We Make Contact. It knows how to give answers while 2001: A Space Odyssey only knew how to ask questions.

A24 reacted to Nick Parker in Star Wars Disenchantment
Anyone else ever watch Duel and wait for Spielberg to stop holding out on us with the sequel? It ends on an (almost literal) cliffhanger! The protagonist is in the middle of the desert, alone, with who knows how long before he makes home!? How does he get home!? The story is not over! Oh, and the ending of ET? Same thing, does ET make it home!? Where is home!? So many unanswered questions...and the sequel was written decades and decades ago! Come on, Spielberg, you're not fooling anyone, just direct it already or find someone who will, and bring us the conclusion we've been waiting for since the early 80's.

A24 got a reaction from Naïve Old Fart in The Official Pop and Rock Music thread
For me her voice evokes a kind of nostalgic sadness.

She's never had great voice, but, by golly, its sexy as hell ,
besides, anything with Gil Evans at the helm, deserves to be listened to.

A24 reacted to crocodile in RIP Krzysztof Penderecki (1933-2020)
Multiple Polish outlets reported that he passed away this morning. I has been confirmed by the organisation led by his wife.

RIP. He really made his mark in the history of music. I had a privileged of seeing him three times live. While his early experimental music is what most people know I actually like his later more neoromantic works as well.

A24 got a reaction from Edmilson in Anyone else miss two-part and three-part episodes on TV shows?
There used to be one TV in the house, usually in the living room, and it was a magical device. Now you have TVs, computers, iPhones in every room. Today teens don't watch a lot TV, they prefer social media, Netflix or Youtube.

Licence to kill.
Not the best Bond movie. The acting during the prologue was terrible, but Priscilla Barnes and Robert Brown are great. David Hedison is unconvincing and I also just can’t warm up to Timothy Dalton, the serious tone of his movies or the fact that Bond is totally out of character in this one. Oh no, now he’s arguing with Bouvier? And now they’re kissing? That didn’t take long. The girls aren’t interesting either and for God’s sake, how many times is he going to tell Pam to leave him alone?
My first Michael Kamen score. I didn’t like the opening cue: the variation on the Bond theme was really raw and bad, but the opening song grew on me and I loved the guitar, the casino music and the finale, but other than that, it’s not really interesting.

A24 got a reaction from Jurassic Shark in Who will be the first famous composer to compose a work related to the coronavirus pandemic?
A new supergroup will be formed to give a helping hand to the health care section. None of the famous singing artists will ring any bells with me.

Absolutely right! Finally someone agrees with me on these points. I also didn't like the Deckard-daughter scene, nor the whole idea behind it. It's a bit too Spielbergy for me. Other than these points, it's a movie that I don't particularly like or hate. 2/4

A24 reacted to Edmilson in 2020 Razzies
Precisely that. The movie is nothing but a poorly written fanfic about Star Wars, made with $200m.
