But whenever I’d start to get pretentious or too self-important, my director [Elliot] would say something like, ‘Geoff, please don’t forget that there are two grown women in tattered clothes having a cage fight in this movie.’ There’s a dragon, too.” About the film: Join an exciting new chapter in the action-packed series from the Producers of The Mummy! After the king of Norvania is assassinated, the legendary Scorpion King Mathayus is framed for the crime and must fight off an entire kingdom of soldiers. crocodile 8,020
I think I'm buying this one. Heard those two are good.Karol
Jay 37,374
The sound has been cleaned up as well as some edits fixed for this version. Mike went through the Varese version and really tweaked it to his and our liking. Is it worth the upgrade? Of course it is (I'm biased), but if you have the Varese version then there really is no need to buy this unless you want Jeff's new notes and Jim's gorgeous package...wait, that came out wrong. You know what I mean! MV

crocodile 8,020
3:10 is a really strong score... But just why would anyone need/want an expansion of it is beyond me.Will wait for more info before making a final decision, though.Karol

Koray Savas 2,251
LLL's website is a horrid mess; every link is broken and takes you to a different album page.

Trent B 337
For 3:10 To Yuma, Beltrami was probably involved...so hence why it wasn't actually complete...
Jay 37,374
Trent is correct Any particular reason why the new tracks are added as a bonus after the original album presentation? That's the way Mr Beltrami wanted it produced. He likes the original album as is and felt that there was no need to release the complete score. He did allow us to add some bonus material and remaster the original album.MVhttp://filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=109480&forumID=1&archive=
Koray Savas 2,251
Not every composer is against the C&C presentation. I haven't seen the film for awhile but I always thought the album was essentially complete. Maybe there wasn't much to add to an expansion/remaster.EDIT: Never mind. Jay 37,374
It's kind of an odd month with the first being on a Friday and our next release being next Tuesday. We only have 2 release dates in May, but 3 in June...so June will be a busy month. We are still waiting on a number of titles to get the final sign off on. Some of you have noticed that our catalog numbers are all over the place. That's due to some titles (a few that were supposed to come out in 2014) taking some time to be signed off on for one reason or another. LLLCD 1331 - waiting on actor approval of image (a pet project of mine) LLLCD 1333 - waiting on studio approval (Golden Age Classic) LLLCD 1335 - waiting on production company approval (even though we have the record label and studio singed off on this one). Missed the anniversary last year. Very frustrating. LLLCD 1350 - waiting on actor/director/producer approval, then studio and record company approval. MEGA HUGE IMPORTANT RELEASE!!!!! LLLCD 1353 - waiting on studio approval (JW release) So, we have thousands and thousands of dollars tied up with these projects and have no product to show for them yet. It's the part of this biz that can nearly break one's spirit, but we keep on truckin'. Since I am playing hooky on Friday May 1, here y'all go: Mr Grusin is even signing THE FIRM. Very excited by this release (we were waiting on Mr Cruise to sign off on the package all this time. Despite what some of you might think of him he is a dedicated professional who is very hands on with his films. I really do admire him for that. He was the same way with Days of Thunder. It's refreshing to see a star of his caliber be so passionate about even a soundtrack release.) http://filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=109596&forumID=1 & https://www.facebook.com/lalalandrecords/photos/a.181243738754.155532.56031953754/10153356909013755/?type=1&permPage=
