Pieter Boelen 740
I liked that Spectre had humour in it and a non-depressing ending. But it definitely suffered from not knowing what it wants to be. Is it an upbeat and fun James Bond movie? Or a depressing "modern movie syndrome" type affair? It tries both and is neither.

Cerebral Cortex 3,358
In Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, he's the young and inexperienced Bond. In Skyfall, he's suddenly an old agent struggling to stay relevant to the system. I feel like we missed a few Bond movies in between to show Bond in his prime, much like how there was no film in between The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises to show Batman in his. Disco Stu 15,495
Zimmer could redeem himself after giving us the worst Mission: Impossible score of the series. Disco Stu 15,495
Yeah, 1 and 2 are fairly interchangeable. It was so disappointing what a dud Giacchino's MI:3 score was, especially considering what a hot streak he was on in that mid-00s period. But he redeemed himself with the much more fun Ghost Protocol score.

Because that is what James Bond was always about. Oh wait.... NO IT WASN'T! My father is a pretty huge James Bond fan, but he basically doesn't like any of the Daniel Craig movies. They aren't "real James Bond", he says. I can't say he isn't right, because he kind-of has a point. Obviously, both of us would appreciate the fun of the real deal. Skyfall and Spectre both had it in parts. Now let's see them taking a dare and take it all the way!!! Doing the opposite just means moving backwards again to do what they already did with Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. It worked relatively well once, but didn't work the second time. No need for another.
