The Official La-La Land Records Thread

No. I said earlier in this very thread that they're brothers.

I'm guessing they have similar tastes though.

Ultimately I'm just trying to understand Koray's industrial bout of composer defence here. (I suspect I know why, but I'm not going to go into it here)

You just posted a 5 star review on your site.

to Koray.  Koray doesn't own the site.  Kaya does.  They aren't co-owners or anything.  It's Kaya's site.

Even if he didn't write this one, he's still valiantly defending the score while his brother gives it 5 stars. I'm simply judging that their opinions are probably in the same ballpark.

I'm done with that topic anyway.

Why is that so hard to believe? People think Justin and I are the same person.

Since you changed your username, I don't even know who YOU are anymore!

You’re the one that brought it up in this thread.

We will all be assimilated by the Borg eventually. Resistance is futile.

Good news for fans of 90s action scores :)

Quote

What are the chances of a release of:

The Specialist (John Barry)
Fair Game (Mark Mancina perhaps with rejected Kamen)
Assassins (same)
Heat (Elliot Goldenthal, still a longshot I guess)

3 OUT OF 4

I really, really hope one of them is Heat! As for the other titles, it's really anybody's guess, although MV did say that more Kamen was on the horizon. I think he also said that there were no plans for more John Barry at the moment, but I can't find the quote

Aaanyway, I just received my haul from the La-La-Land sale, and I didn't have to pay tax when the package entered my country! The package was marked as a commercial sample with a value of only $1.00 (!), although it contained seven albums!

Do your civic duty and alert customs to the mix-up.

It's not a mix-up - La-La-Land does this all the time. They're one of four retailers of specialist soundtracks labels I've identified, with the help of users on this forum, that write a lower price on the package to avoid customs. And these specialist labels are not sold anywhere in Norway, so it's not like it's hurting anyone's business.

These bureaucrats don't care. They want you to buy local anyway.

You live in quite a corrupt country when the tax money goes directly to the pockets of bureaucrats.
