Drew 590
I was wondering why I kept having to revert edits on Wikipedia that put Jackman on there... This speculation is crazy. Some sources say Tyler, someone said Balfe, and now Jackman. Tyler (even in low form) is clearly the lesser of the evils here. IMDb does not have a reputation for being completely accurate. If I remember, they were partially responsible for the meltdown that occurred when Junkie XL was mistakenly announced for Godzilla 2.

Fancyarcher 350
It's because animation is still a field, where music is important, and composers are asked to at least be exciting as a result. Live action films on the other hand usually isn't supposed to have music that actually "stands out" as much, and thus the composers follow suit. Popular Post James 119
It's simple, they just copy the Zimmer material for live actions and in the animations they take Powell as reference. Pieter Boelen 740
I figured out why Kraemer wasn't asked to score the next one: his work was TOO GOOD! It was such divine perfection that not even he could ever hope to top it. So to avoid disappointment, they decided to give someone else the chance. Or.... maybe that's not exactly the truth after all. Jurassic Shark
Popular Post Damien F 1,742
I'll give Balfe the benefit of the doubt. He may end of writing a good score but based on his back catalog, it will probably end up only being serviceable and a major step back for the franchise. The sting of Kraemer not returning would have been lessened a little had someone like Powell or Arnold replaced him. Even Tyler. But Balfe?! It is a real shame that Joe Kraemer hasn't returned. Not only did he produce a widely praised action score that even Cruise himself loved, it was a great example of a talented composer outside of the typical rota of blockbuster composers being given a shot at a major franchise and absolutely knocking it out of the park. Like Chris Young with Spidey 3. I'm currently alternating between action cues from Tomorrow Never Dies and Rogue Nation. I've no doubt that Kraemer could match what Arnold achieved in that score especially the way Arnold incorporated the various elements of the Bond theme into the action. It's probably unlikely now, but Kraemer doing the next Bond score would be a great consolation. Jurassic Shark, Will and Pieter Boelen
Jay 37,364
Oh hell yea, I've been saying Kraemer should score a Bond film ever since I first heard Rogue Nation! Damien F 1,742
My concern is that whatever happened with Fallout has made him an unsafe choice of composer for a major franchise in the eyes of the studios.
