Code 000. Destruct. 0. 4,261 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 No, it must mean he's ill.
Incanus 5,858 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 No, it must mean he's ill. Apparently it was very cold out there on the red carpet. I mean the weather, not the reception.
Incanus 5,858 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Is that Williams' wife beside him?His daughter. She has been attending quite few of these events with him in the recent years. E.g. she was with him in the John Williams Celebration concert at Walt Disney Hall in 2014.
ymenard 60 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Oh, but your shoulders are equally as great, John, if not greater, than the shoulders you stand on. And none of your music will ever be forgotten, and certainly never rightfully so.John Williams definitely belongs to the tradition of the great masters and there are some composers who are rightfully considered as "great" that have accomplished much less than him. When some historical detachment will allow it, he will enter the regular books of music history, hopefully along with several other film composers.I'm not sure that having accomplished more has a meaning. In a way that Mahler, Ives or Ravel didn't really compose that much, Ravel has written something like 6 hours of composition in his life.
Code 000. Destruct. 0. 4,261 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Yeah. Maurice Duruflé left very little music, yet I'd call him greater than many very prolific composers.
Jilal 628 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Ravel's Violin Sonata in G Major is an absolutely marvelous piece of work, probably my favorite work for violin.
Loert 2,952 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 JW will fall asleep during the premiere, he already saw it several timesHe fell asleep during his own award ceremony, so it's very likely.
tannhauser 101 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Ravel's Violin Sonata in G Major is an absolutely marvelous piece of work, probably my favorite work for violin. The Piano Concerto in G is likewise one of my favourite piano concerti.
publicist 4,648 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 There are brilliant piano parts on both!

karelm 3,191 Posted December 15, 2015 Author Posted December 15, 2015 I can't listen right now - how does his voice sound?Sounds great, healthy, and happy.More stories:Mark Hamill and Lucas carpooled in the same limo so crowd went nuts when both walked out.I noticed when JJ came up to us, his wife stayed back and was just taking it all in with a huge smile of pride.Yes, it was very cold (for LA) and gusty last night.
Jay 42,493 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Were Giacchino & Datzman at the premiere, I wonder?
Code 000. Destruct. 0. 4,261 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Bit of an unfortunate change in attitude and atmosphere in LA between last night and this morning.
Incanus 5,858 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 He is an artist. He should have a wide brimmed hat then to go with the scarf!
Director of Poltergeist 8,127 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Kate Capshaw's face looks fucked up. Like she's wearing a mask. Botox disaster? Bad makeup job? Natural aging?

JasonTHX 21 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 I can't listen right now - how does his voice sound?Great. Like he did 20 years ago. I think this experience might have added years to his life.
Thor 9,308 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Agreed. He looks absolutely vibrant. Sparkle in the eyes, and hardly any trace of 'old voice' mannerisms.
mstrox 7,221 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 I just realized something (and I may be wrong) - there is still no official (i.e. StarWars.com or press release) confirmation of what Max Von Sydow's role is in TFA, is there? His casting was one of those things that interested me, and then I forgot about as we were fed information about Rey/Finn/Poe/Kylo/Phasma/Hux. I'm intrigued to find out more on Saturday.
Director of Poltergeist 8,127 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 I've heard Anthony Daniels is a real prick. crumbs 1
Quintus 5,721 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 You tend to post this sort of thing frequently and about absolutely anything, but in this case I think you're possibly correct. He always comes across as a bit of a moaning biatch.

Little Ghost 7,876 Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Lovely to see him take Jennifer out for another stately event! Btw, is Kyle Newman one of THE Newmans?I don't think so, just a big Star Wars fan, his brother Kevin Newman is the designer for The Simpsons and Futurama.
Not Mr. Big 4,818 Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Man, a John Williams-scored Futurama episode would have been the best...
Code 000. Destruct. 0. 4,261 Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 I bet this is a ton of fun for him. He seems genuinely pleased at the "buzz" of this film. What a guy.
tedfud 39 Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 I've heard Anthony Daniels is a real prick. Not true. A long time ago he drove my friend to Hospital as she was in Labour. Lovely mant
mstrox 7,221 Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 There was a recent interview with Daniels that discusses his feud with Kenny Baker, and that sometimes people find him a little bit prickly. But I think mainly the latter comes from his feeling of ownership over the character. If you guys haven't seen it, skip to about the 3/4 point of the StarWars.com red carpet feed and watch Carrie Fisher, Oscar Isaac, and Billie Lourd's interview. Fisher has been on fire during this press tour.
