crocodile 9,724 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I have no interest in another pathetic life form.I have no real desire for another Indiana Jones film in any shape or form.Me too.I also feel that way about Star Wars.Of course, because you are part of the anti new brigade.OK then so let's have a completely NEW Star Wars 7, Jurassic Park 4 and Indiana Jones 5.As you can see, nothing against NEW and FRESH ideas.Karol
Rachael Foley 10,164 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Hear that sound? thats you missing my point.I meant new as in "not made from 1930 to 1999"
Rachael Foley 10,164 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 You edited your post.KarolMy original post meant the same thing, but made less sense.
Sir Hilary Bray 235 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Holy Tom Selleck this idea puts the quivers down me. Rather no new film than any reboot.
Sir Hilary Bray 235 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Ah, yes! This could also be the opportunity for Tom Selleck to finally be Indy!Fingers crossed.
BloodBoal 8,711 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Fortune and glory, kid. Fortune and glory. Sir Hilary Bray 1
Wycket 36 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I have no problem with a new Indy having adventures in the 1930s and 40s. Its unlikely that anyone will ever eclipse Ford, and no matter how good any actor may be he will still be the one and only as Connery IS Bond for many people. It doesn't mean that others can't interpret the character and have adventures. I don't know if Cooper is right for the role or not, but I wouldn't be opposed to him or someone else having a shot. It will never tarnish the original three films any worse than Crystal Skull did so why not. I love pulp adventures and wouldn't mind seeing Indy on the big screen again.
Luke Skywalker 2,385 Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 i say let the film franchise die. Continue doing videogames and cartoons. This is not like star wars or star trek. Indy is a character while the others are part of a universe.Jurassic park also works without the main characters because it plays around the idea of cloning dinosaurs, you dont have to have the same people all over again (one of the faults of the sequels i suppose), this new soft reboot will be a fresh thing. The problem is this franchise does not go well with unlimited sequels... as the main theme is alsways the same: dinosaurs loose eating people.
crocodile 9,724 Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Ford cannot play the character anymore. He's aged considerably since the last film and to make the new film credible it would have to take place in the... 80's?See what I mean?Karol
Wojo 2,458 Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Henry Jones' Diary. Bridget was his niece. Rich
Code 000. Destruct. 0. 4,262 Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 This movie should be about a student of Dr. Jones who takes up his mantle.
Code 000. Destruct. 0. 4,262 Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I was serious! If this has to happen, then they have to pass the torch somehow, and Mutt ain't gonna be back, so....
Wycket 36 Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Or Mutt's adventures...But Shia isn't famous anymore....
gkgyver 1,647 Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Or Taylor Lautner or whatever that gay vampire is called.
Max 154 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Indiana Jones 5 Is Cinematographer Janusz Kaminski’s Next ProjectWhile I would like this to be true, I bet it's not. Wouldn't The B.F.G. be Spielberg's next film, after St. James Place?
Jay 46,244 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 is it even confirmed that Janusz Kaminski is shooting St. James Place or The BFG?Anyways, the article writer likely just glanced at Kaminski's IMDB page, saw Indiana Jones 5, and put that there. It means nothing.

It means nothing.I don't believe he is confirmed for either (Wikipedia has him listed for St. James Place, but it's Wikipedia, so...). I just assumed that he would be.I think you are correct about the IMDB page--as of right now, if you look at Kaminski's IMDB page, it lists Indiana Jones 5 as his only upcoming project. Still, though, one can hope...
Not Mr. Big 5,011 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Stefan's theory about St. James Place might actually be true...
Quintus 6,499 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 As long as it's like The Shootist I can just about accept the prospect of this happening. Because there is literally no other way they could make this movie, and make amends for IV.
Jay 46,244 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Disney is planning to reboot Indiana Jones, starring Chris Pratt http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/403673-chris-pratt-sought-for-indiana-jones-rebootwow
A. A. Ron 2,485 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Y'know, I don't think I have a problem with this...Now if only they could construct an amazing script!
mstrox 7,348 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 This exact rumor has been out there before - I wouldn't put any weight in it until it comes from an official source.I will say that, if Indiana Jones is to have any more entries, this is a great way to do it (I would not so much care to see another Old Man Indy episode)
crocodile 9,724 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Can't wait for Giacchino's score!Karol
Hlao-roo 390 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Can't wait for Giacchino's score!Given his success updating the Superman sound in Man of Steel, Zimmer would be good candidate.
Wojo 2,458 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Shia's too busy acting in mind trip music videos. He doesn't need to wear the hat.
crocodile 9,724 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Mel Wesson could do the whip cracking sound effects to open the score and film!Karol
Incanus 5,890 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Mel Wesson could do the whip cracking sound effects to open the score and film!KarolHe could do the whole score with that whip sound. He is just that talented.
Incanus 5,890 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Can't wait for Giacchino's score!Given his success updating the Superman sound in Man of Steel, Zimmer would be good candidate.Fuck yeah! We need a more realistic and relatable Indy! Super serious and emo!Chris Pratt would be excellent in the role of super serious and emo Indy.
crocodile 9,724 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Though, Michael Fassbender could convey Indy's angst better.Karol
Incanus 5,890 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Though, Michael Fassbender could convey Indy's angst better.KarolOh yeah that is so true!
Incanus 5,890 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Do we really need more Indiana Jones after 4 movies?
