And it says he will record it in front of a private audience. Does that mean the piece is being performed in front of guests, recorded, or both. Perhaps I am just too tired, but the wording seems confusing at best.

Hopefully the piece will get a fairly public audition at the start of the season. It has been a while since we had a celebration/concert fanfare from Williams--I look forward to it.
