  1. Just thinking of all the great and unexpected Williams one-liners over the years. Forgive me if there's already a thread for this. My favourite one at the moment is from the USC Q and A. Q. "Do you think there's too much music in films these days?" A. "When I'm writing them I do."

  6. In which way? ???? The ending is a predictable wink to the audience. Of course the top falls over. I isn't meant to be anything else.

  7. If it opens here in IMAX 3D i'll pay the few euro's extra to go see it in that format. It looks absolutely stunning.

  8. Dersu Uzala Goddammit I just had to comment on how much I loved this film. I've watched and loved many Kurosawa films, but this one takes the cake so far. Before I considered Rhapsody in August to be his magnum opus, but this movie just moved me so deeply that it's now amongst my favorites of all times. Beautifully shot (70mm!), exquisetly acted and with a perfect score, this is what going to the movies is all about. A tale of an unlikely friendship surrounded by the forces of nature, which can be both beautiful and deadly. 10/10

  9. JW only wrote one actual Super Hero theme, but it is the best one ever! The quintessential one!

    Upcoming Films

Right. The making of the film itself kept getting pushed back ,not just the release date. This hasn't been sitting around in the can for a while, it just took longer to make than expected. I think it'll be great.

  11. Thanks, fommes. I ended up including both versions of 8m1, and splitting 8m2 into two tracks. That way I still more or less have "A New Beginning" from the OST as its own track when I want to hear it by itself.

  13. Given that this is a more "realistic" and darker Superman, plus what he did to Zod, shouldn't the title be Superman Rips Batman's Head Off and Shoves It Up His Ass?

  15. Looking at this list of films makes me really sad, as I don't find one of them to have a great memorable main theme like the best late 70s through early 80s scores. Imagine if these films came out when Goldsmith, Poledouris, Kamen, Elfman, Horner, and Williams were composing at the top of their games? Good lord!

  16. This. Yep, because you can stick The Simpsons Movie into fucking Gladiator and it'd work perfectly. Interchangeable my ass. This is the type of BS I addressed in my Top 10 thread. People think the only Zimmer scores are the huge blockbuster ones.

  17. I think what sony meant to say about their DSD, "we ripped the CDs in wav, then converted that to flac, then converted back to wav and repressed the CDS for superior sound quality! And no more of those annoying liner notes!"
