IMHO, length should only be "horizontal" not "vertical"
Meaning alternates/inserts/revisions don't add to the tally.
...unless it's a case like the original longer opening of Empire Strikes Back, in which case the longer version is what is considered towards the overall length

Actually the one track I have is The Victor. Bloody Christmas was the first additional one I tried when seeing what the rest of the score was like, and was distinctly unimpressed.
And I'm not a fan of giving a composer an Oscar for a score just because they should've had one by now, as that creates an artificially inflated sense of importance for a score and gives fans of it licence to bang on about how great it is.
