I mean, another one which I almost put to my top 3 list is "Parade of the Ewoks".
You might not like the characters. But the music is brillant.
It is the ewok way of a military march.
Cute.

GerateWohl got a reaction from blondheim in Is John Williams the Bach of our time?
I think, that these the someone of our time does not help much in any direction.
At his time Bach was musically an inventer in many ways. Williams is a traditionallist.
None of the contemporary composers has the possibility to be as inventive as people like Bach or Beethoven were.
But what are you comparing? Creativity? Musicallity? Amount of output? Sallary? Private circumstances? Popularity? Style?
I remember statements like Adrew Lloyd Webber is the Mozart of our time. Poor Mozart.

GerateWohl reacted to Miguel Andrade in John Williams hopes "to be in Berlin in October conducting the orchestra"
To have Williams conduct the Berliner Philharmoniker is a lifetime dream of mine. Crossing fingers this comes to happen and that I'm able to attend.

That is why he decided to build concert halls on wide open places. Perfect match.

GerateWohl got a reaction from DrTenma in The Mandalorian SHOW discussion - Spoilers Allowed for all aired episodes
For me it didn`t really fit with the movies.
In episode 3 Anakin was not yet a jedi master. Obi-Wan is still teaching him. Being a master is a precondition for having a padawan. -> missmatch
Second big issue: Darth Mauls resurrection
For a What if-show ok and therefore I liked it. But for actual occurences in the story... I mean, he was cut in half and fell down a mile deep abyss. That always reminds me of a scene from Peter Jacksons Braindead, where the hero cuts off a zombie's head, arms and legs and thinks he killed it. But then the legs of the zombie start kicking himand the guts of the zombie jump out of the body, attack him and try to strangle him. At that point Clone Wars started following the logic of a zombie comedy. Didn't make sense to me as an actual extension of the movies.
