This is not just an item we don't like.
This is a sign of how Disney deals with soundtracks and their release, and shows lacks of respect for customers, and also proves how incapable they are in taking the right decisions in this market. We have been waiting for proper IJ releases for many years, and the best Disney can do is to add a cardboard box and price the set at $30 per disk, while you can comfortably buy the very same content for much less. They even managed to keep some previously available music out of this box. All of this right after the disastrous release of the DoD CD.
These release goes in the wrong direction of what should be made, frustrates the hopes of the fans, and this is why it's getting such a reaction, especially when the market is now full of great releases and it's so clear how to proceed and who to get involved.

There is something in common, however they were already done disk sets, the prices were still reasonable, the distribution was absolutely flawless, Sony Classic still released an "ultimate edition" of episode I, and we knew they very likely wouldn't hold the rights for several years. Also we could hope that IJ would get a better treatment as the rights were on a different hand.
On top of that, it is now 20 years later and instead of any light at the end of the tunnel we are seeing things going backwards .

There's always more Williams in the pipeline, no need to worry about that!

But yes, Hook marks the end of anything that's been publicly teased by Mike about any forthcoming releases.

Maybe there will be more of a surprise factor when specialty labels announce batches now!

I think, there is too much interpretation on this "complete saga" statement. This is just like the usual BluRay boxes, that are coming out with each new entry in a series collecting the same old editions including the newest entry in a cardboard box. Nothing more, nothing less. Just a loveless overpriced edition of existing stuff.

It really appears like some kind of revenge from DME to the fans, who complained over the past month publically about the unworthy handling of the Dial of Destiny OST.

Complete just means soundtracks of "all five movies". I find it rather disturbing to call the Indy series a "saga". It isn't a sage. It is not even a coherent story. It are just independent adventures around one character. No saga here.

If the Young Indy scores would be included, you might more be able to use the term "saga".

By the way, including these four albums in addition actually might have justified the price.
