There were new recordings made of the Star Wars music (1-6) using the London Symphony Orchestra in Abbey Road Studio 1 in 2013, conducted by William Ross.

Confirmed what was recorded in this article: https://www.endorexpress.net/parks/disneyparks/tokyo-disneyland/2013/07/williamross/

    Highlights;

"We created a kind of 40 minute “suite” of music from the 6 films. We ran it by John Williams and got his approval." - William Ross

"It would be great to be able to hear this music somehow on CD or something…" - Interviewer

Ross' reply, "I think that would be wonderful. It’s a beautifully recorded piece of music…Abbey Road, the London Symphony Orchestra playing that iconic music! The Star Wars music is in their DNA and they were very happy with it. I think there’s a wonderful degree of integrity to the music and personally believe it would make a wonderful CD…but who knows."

So the question is, where the hell is the audio for this and can we have it!!!?

You can hear a little of The Imperial March in this phone video at the beggining (It sounds so fresh!!!)

Social media can be many things but one thing JWFan is certainly not: a network you can say 'no' to.

It was the excitement in anticipation of "The Force Awakens" that made me transform from a long-term forum lurker (since 2002) to an active forum member (since 2015). Amazing what has happened over these years (Boston, Vienna, Berlin, Milano).

Happy 25th Anniversary and thank you to all who make this platform possible, informative and rewarding for fans world-wide!

I joined back in May 2002. I remember talking about Wlliams' Scores (Mainly Star Wars Music) with people from school and everyone thought I was insane. I came onto JWFAN where people understood and we're more accepting... a place where we could all be insane together!

    Thank you everyone 🙏

How wonderful would it be to get an album of JW's Star Wars music written or adapted for the parks? You could include:
Star Tours 2.0 queue (Ross) Star Tours 2.0 queue (Giacchino) Original Star Tours ride music (Bellis) Original Star Tours exit music (Bellis) Hyperspace Mountain (Ross) Galaxy's Edge (JW's suite) Galaxy's Edge lightsaber building music (Ross) Galaxy's Edge entrance music (Kerber) Any other Galaxy's Edge recordings by Ross (e.g. for the rides and show moments) Disneyland Band SW medley There's got to be more. Maybe the main theme excerpt as recorded for Remember...Dreams Come True?

    Anyway, I'd buy it!

Mike Matessino managed to get The E.T. Adventure from the Universal Studios attraction in the expanded 2017/2022 album, so maybe there's some hope.

JWFan was born 25 years ago today!

Hard to imagine back then that the site would still be up and running two and a half decades later, let alone that the Maestro would still be active after having composed nearly thirty more film scores and a similar number of concert works, as well as conducting over 200 concerts including Vienna, Berlin, Milan and Japan!

Dozens of his film scores have received perfect releases during all this time, providing fans with the confidence that many more will come in the future, while maintaining and further enhancing the collective appreciation and admiration for the music we all love and which will remain with us for the rest of our lives.

The analysis and discussion of his work has reached such level of comprehensiveness and detail, that our forums have become an essential reference for fans and scholars, while fomenting the creation of fascinating projects that expand and deepen the study of the Maestro’s oeuvre and contribute to increasing its appreciation by future generations who, without doubt, will continue to ensure that his name is in the place it deserves in the history of music and cinema.

Thank you, Mr. Williams, and thanks to all those who have contributed during this time to make the site such a wonderful place. Here’s to 25 more!

Mais... I would like to point out that no current version of the Star Wars soundtracks is PERFECT... The 1993 Anthology box set is essential, but it has its small peculiarities... some alternate takes selected by error (nothing serious), the omission of the cue 'Mynock's cave' in The Empire Strikes Back and a stereo issue in one of the thematic tracks with Yoda (I always forget which one).
