stravinsky got a reaction from Yavar Moradi in Eiger Sanction: Due for a Remaster?
I'm hoping when this score gets the same treatment as the Disaster Box we are in for a surprise equal to hearing the full score for Earthquake for the first time.

stravinsky got a reaction from TSMefford in Michael Torke. Is this a virtual ensemble?
I can't believe it. Maybe it's the way he orchestrates by combining Sop Sax with other woodwinds. The other reason I thought it might be samples is that I can magine how exhausting it must be not only to rehearse this music but to play it straight through. Although I guess a Mahler Symphony must be worse. I've enjoyed Torke's music ever since encountering his Colour Music album on Argo 30 years ago as a student. Christ where does the time go? Anyway thanks for the info!

stravinsky got a reaction from Fabulin in "Space Battalions" by James Brett used in Star Wars promotional videos
For me this cue by J Brett is still the best theme associated with Episode IX. Too bad it wasn't in the movie.

stravinsky got a reaction from Taikomochi in John Powell's SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY (2018) - Deluxe Edition 2020 / Intrada 2-CD edition October 31, 2023
What always astounds me is the musicianship of these incredible session players. I mean how much rehearsal would they get for one cue? The music is so multifaceted and urgent but everything is so tight. And I don't mean just this score. Their unerring ability to just pick something up and make it sound like this leaves me in total awe.

stravinsky got a reaction from bigjimwilson in JW score in FSM TV Omnibus release
The Bronze Locust score is a little gem. Gorgeous score. There must be a load of Williams' TV stuff that is probably long gone.

stravinsky got a reaction from rpvee in Who's met John Williams?
I met the Maestro whilst singing with London Voices. He was very down to earth & noble at one and the same time.

I sang on the prequels yes. Interesting to think of the idea of each Star Wars Score as a Symphony.
