the mess of a movie is so long

Keep in mind some TV versions of this movie restore a ton of cut footage. When this was first shown on ABC it was shown over two nights!

Anybody knows the chronological order of Johnny English? Because of the hidden track I'll have to make a CD-R copy anyhow.

I'll try (* = tracks 12 and 13 I?m not at all sure about)

1. Russian Affairs

2. A Man For All Seasons

3. Man of Sophistication

4. Truck Chase

5. The Only Ones

6. Parachute Drop

7. Pascal?s Evil Plan (use only up to 1:33)

8. Kismet

9. Theme From Johnny English (Salsa Version)

10. Off The Case (two cues, but they are consecutive)

11. Cafe Conversation

12*. Into Pascal?s Lair

13*. Pascal?s Evil Plan (the whole track)

14. Does Your Mother Know?

15. For England

16. Riviera High

17. Agent no. 1

I put theme from Johnny English at the beginning of the CD, though it doesn?t fit in the film anywhere ? I don?t think?

Thank Danielle - appreciated.....

......now then.....erm....BUMP!! to a useful thread.....

Has anyone had a go at using the two Dune albums (from the 1984 movie) to try and sequence a definitive version...?

Or am I STILL the only fan of that movie and it's soundtrack....?

Just saw the film and have been listening to the soundtrack, and the film doesn't coincide with the current track listing. Anyone have any thoughts?

whats with 1138

Greg...... Danni ?

Yes - this deserves a bit of an explanation - and an apology!

I have ALWAYS used the log-on name "Greg1138" on more-or-less every site I have registered with......naturally, when registering with JWFan.net I automatically typed in Greg1138.....without thinking to check if anyone else had had the same idea.....of course, when I navigated round the boards a bit more I came across Danielle's username - and felt somewhat embarassed and guilty!! Sorry Danielle!!!!!!!!! It was not intentional!!!!!

As for the "1138" thing - well - don't you see the connection?

Hi Greg, I try to be cheeky when possible but being in a different time zone is very depressing. By the time I see something I want to respond to there are already a dozen or more posts ahead of me.

Anybody have the order for Menken's Pocahontas? If not, I'll probably do it myself.

So I have so far failed in finding someone else who likes "POC" then?

Posted

I'm not too sure of the order, but I believe it starts ith Pirates of the Caribbean, soon shifts to Drop Zone, segues into Gladiator, closely followed by The Rock, then probably back to Drop Zone, ...

;)

But, heck, yes, I do find it fun and entertaining.

I intensely wish it had been a proper, original, and more piratey score, though.

You're not the only one.

Sequencing the album chronologically by tracks is damn near impossible - most of the tracks are made of one or more separate scenes

Posted

In case anybody else wants to know, here's the chronological listing for Pocahontas:

1-2. The Virginia Company - Ship at Sea

3-4. The Virginia Company (Reprise) - Steady as the Beating Drum (Main Title)

15. Pocahontas

5. Steady as the Beating Drum (Reprise)

6. Just Around the Riverbend

7. Grandmother Willow

8. Listen with Your Heart I

18. River's Edge

16. Council Meeting

17. Percy's Bath

9. Mine, Mine, Mine

10. Listen with Your Heart II

20. Getting Acquainted

11. Colors of the Wind

22. Picking Corn

23. The Warriors Arrive

21. Ratcliffe's Plan

24. John Smith Sneaks Out

19. Skirmish

14. I'll Never See Him Again

** If I Never Knew You

12. Savages (Part 1)

13. Savages (Part 2)

25. Execution

26. Farewell

28. If I Never Knew You (John Secada and Shanice)

27. Colors of the Wind (Vanessa Williams)

** I ripped this from the new DVD (and save for the final trademark Menken "thump" note, it rips pretty cleanly). In case you didn't know, this song was cut from the original release of the film. Alan Menken himself said he thought the test audiences were getting bored at that point and he suggested the song be removed. But now on the new DVD it's put back in, resulting in a better love story and a better film. Since the theme is used throughout the score, it just doesn't seem complete without the song. (There is also a very short reprise in "Farewell" that is not on the CD, but I haven't yet gone to the trouble to try to edit it back in.)

Does anyone have the correct order for the AI 2CD promo? It's really mixed up.

Posted

There is a typho, in Disc one: it should be

2 - P2-T3

And from the complete cues list in the main page, you can put in DisC two:

4- P1-T4

5- P1-T6

6 - P2-T18

SpaceCamp, anyone?

There's somewhere a thread on the bootleg, which has been chronologically arranged, or you can check David Vincent's site perhaps? (That boot does exclude The Training Montage if I remember well, I don't have it myself).

Does anybody know the film order for James Newton Howard's Devil's Advocate, please? Some titles are too obscure for me to remember when they're featured exactly.

I've found the list of the DVD's chapters, but it isn't much help.

Posted

Found it! Thanks.

Can anybody tell me where The Training Montage goes? I haven't seen the film, but I'd guess somewhere between "Main Title" and "Space Shuttle Launch" (obviously).

CD 1 - 11 tracks

Also is the "Complete cue list" in the Filmography section for this pretty much accurate..?

Any and all help would be appreciated...

By the way I just barely got this score from a friend of mine...
