  1. Hi, all brilliant artists! Does anyone have any custom The Rings of Power covers for episode albums? I could use the existing episode covers but wanted to diffrentiate the new Mondo set from my High-Res album in digital library. Karol
  2. Anyone made any custom episode album covers? I was looking for something to differentiate them from the digital. Karol
  3. Arrived today: Looks like this is exactly the content of his blog posts (or at least adapted from those). Karol
  4. No, I like the original. I just don't see the point of turning it into a franchise. I feel like point has been made over 40 years ago. The sequel, while decent, didn't really add that much. Karol
  5. And Cloverfield. And Let Me In. 😀 There seems to a Matt Reeves sound coming from Giacchino. Dark, motivic/minimalistic and textural. Karol
  6. That Michelle Yeoh is in it, I count as good news. The fact they are making this in the first place...not so much. Karol
  7. The previous three movies are pretty good. And, to be honest, I also quite like Giacchino's scores. Karol
  8. Finished Shogun today. It was, for the most part, pretty great. People expecting a Hollywood epic will be very disappointed as the show focuses mostly on character study and political intrigue. It's a slow burn. I really appreciated the more grown-up approach to the source material. Great stuff. As I mentioned above, the music is quite terrible. Such a wasted opportunity, given such a rich story. Karol
  9. It was pretty good, I've heard it it several times before. The choirless Battle of the Heroes was new to me, though. I think both pieces work quite well without the vocals, you get to appreciate the orchestration more. I was also glad to hear the concert version of Jedi Steps without the end credits. It's a marvellous little piece. And The Rise of Skywalker was terrific too although I was surprised to hear it finish on the ending fanfare from Throne Room credits rather than the quiet album version. They also played Cantina Band and The Imperial March as encores. Which was to be expected. There was a generic message from Williams as well. Overall, it was a fun night. Karol
  10. Decided to celebrate May the 4th with some SW music with CBSO at Birmingham's stellar Symphony Hall tonight. About to start. Karol
  11. From the description in that sleeve I gather the book is essentially the material from his blog, right? Karol
  12. Of the Arnold's output, it's one of my faves. 😀 Karol
