  1. Maybe if they framed it as a Bear Grylls style survival documentary hosted by Gollum.
  2. What a dumb idea for a movie. Really? I'm kind of baffled that you feel this way Mr. "Star Wars was complete and needed no further follow ups or spin offs after Return of the Jedi." Uhh... No. That may explain why you don't want more!
  3. I doubt a release is coming in the short term, but I also don’t really care much for this score or really any of Williams’ music for harmonica. The movie’s pretty good though.
  4. I love how you bumped this thread out of the blue after 22 years. It’s also fascinating to see how highly the board rated this film when it was new. I was 10 when this came out and I loved the clones, the Geonosians, the lego sets, the score, and of course seeing Natalie Portman in all those outfits. It’s been many years since I’ve seen it now. In fact, the last time I saw it may well have been when I was still a teenager. These days I’d probably rate Clones as a 5/10. The dialogue and acting are rubbish of course, but I like the visuals and general shlockiness of it all and I feel the world building of any of the Prequels still puts the Disney era to shame. IMO, a less cringey version of this movie could made a decent Episode I. Then Episode II could have ended with Anakin’s fall, allowing III to be half Jedi purge and half Empire vs Rebels stuff.
  5. Sail Barge Assault and Faking the Code are two of my favorite cues of all time.
  6. With Zimmer less can be more, but there’s always some missing highlight too.
  7. I feel like the only composer who could do justice to something as huge and complicated as the entire second world war is Howard Shore.
  8. There may have been speed issues on some of the bootlegs, but as far as I know not on any official release of TLC.
  9. TLC doesn’t have any speed issues.
  10. Back to the Future is the first score I thought of as well. La La Land is supposed to be a “great score?” I thought it was just a great record label. At any rate, I don’t know how anyone can like film scores but not like Conan or LOTR.
  11. I don’t think any of those ideas are necessarily bad ideas, but I do think Paramount tends to hand Star Trek projects to the wrong people.
