I presume you mean the score - great CD, I love the circus cue with those crazy whaling horns! My favourite Goldenthal score will always be Michael Collins though.

- Tim.
"There is a kind of closeness that can be developed with members of an orchestra - a love affair in which you and a body are breathing together, pulsing together, lifting and sinking together... Perhaps i'm making this sound too lurid and sexual - it is sort of sexual, but it's with a hundred people" - Leonard Bernstein

Got these from ebay today: Juan Darien (Goldenthal), The Madness of King George (Händel/Fenton)
Also expecting from ebay: Dangerous Liaisons (Fenton)
Also ordered from ebay, but got my money back, because the CD had disappeared: Cobb (Goldenthal)
Also expecting from ebay: A 9-disc set of Bach choral works conducted by Gardiner

MArian - thinking of bidding on Solti's Der Ring des Nibelungen, for something between 60 and 70 euros including shipping.

:flush: Juan Darien (Elliot Goldenthal)

I have actually bought only The Witches of Eastwick lately.
Besides that I have a long wish list and very little money so I have to save some. ;)

Ars superior est vita hominum.

"We pop out and come into the world and music is there. We didn't invent it - it's all organised in the atmosphere by divinity or whatever. It's a miracle." - John Williams-

I think music is a stream of some kind. It could be blood. It could be water. It could be ether. Whatever it is it seems to be a living, organic force that’s in motion, that serves humanity and is part of humanity and part of what describes us as humans. We sing, play, dance, all the things that we do. And there is a vibrant and great literature we have been given. ... As musicians, we join the stream. We swim in the stream with all the other millions of music makers. It’s a life force, a strong one, surrounding us and we are part of it. -John Williams-

Considering I already own a mistakenly-bought copy of the songs CD, yes it is the score. ;)

Yeah, I'm really enjoying Sleepy Hollow...very Elfmanesque, of course. The Potter compilation is pretty good. The performances are mostly proficient, with just a couple flubs/misinterpretations here and there. Plus, there's a recording of "Nimbus 2000/Quirky Magic" (:)) finally, and an interesting suite from PoA.

No, it isn't. The cover is quite similar to the Beck score. Here's a link:

Well according to the Amazon track listing it has parts of Return of the Pink Panther as well...

The point is I don't need to rush out and buy another version of The Pink Panther. :|

has anyone bought the LOTR OST trilogy boxset? Does it come with anything extra (besides the box) versus buying the 3 scores separately? I already have FOTR (never thought that highly of the sequels) so I am trying to decide between buying the box set versus buying the two scores separately.

Burga - who has no intention or budget yet to get the Complete Recordings

No, there's nothing different whatsoever. Despite already owning the FOTR album I bought the trilogy box set. It's just the three of them in a nice box and all of the "collectable" covers,

Great music, though. :)
