  3. An eulogy for composer, arranger and conductor Ian Fraser was held yesterday in Los Angeles. Fraser passed away last October. John Williams was among the ones who paid tribute to his friend (Fraser collaborated with JW on Goodbye Mr Chips). 4. TMP also seemed more like a Trek film to me, much more in line with the original series. Unlike the first film, the enemy in TWOK is not only tangible, but familiar. That's one of the reasons I love the first film so much. There is uncertainty, mystery, etc. The second film is more of an action flick but with more at stake for the crew. You can't really compare the two. They're both terrific entries into the series for wildly different reasons. I know a lot of people didn't care for TMP, but I can't count myself among them.

  6. Williams played on several Mancini recording sessions, so when it was mentioned he worked on "Tiffany's" it seemed credible. But again, maybe he was just confusing films or for some reason he wasn't listed on the AMF files.

  11. It's not a very good movie though ... It takes its time because the director thought of 2001: ASO ... but 'slow' isn't enough to embody Kubrick's film.

  18. Looks like he's stabilized and will most likely recover. The only major danger now is the head injuries, it's hard to tell how they play out. He could be fine, or he could have some severe problems. But boy, the grim reaper seems out for the guy, between the Millenium Falcon trying to kill him and this.
