Ah, I did not have all the info on who had the rights at the time, thanks for sharing. I knew it was about transferring the elements in 1994 but I thought it was him dropping a hint at the time that it was being worked on.

Interesting to go back to this David W Collins interview way back in Nov 2018 (feels like a lifetime ago lol) with Mike Matessino where he discusses The Sound of Music restoration process! If the timestamp doesn't sync up above it's around the 15min mark. The clue dropped by Mike about his big project was dropped way back then lol

3 hours ago, filmmusic said:Imagine if there isn't any John Williams release at all on Black Friday. Haha.
We've had at least one JW release every BF since 2015 save for one infamous year, 2020.

Yes, I have that on digital, and yes, it is somewhat repetitive. However, the poor quality of the boot and the possibility of new unreleased music gives me hope for a proper expanded release

Hopefully an BOTFOJ expanded release will change my opinion of the score much like Always did. Both had similar OSTs with sparse score and several pop songs which resulted in little playing time in my CD player over the years. The LLL expansion of Always has been a fantastic release IMO with the presentation and previously unheard score!

Changed the topic title JW options only for BF / EOY 2023. Intrada earlier this year said another Williams release was on their list but not sure if that's for 2023 or 2024?
-
Well, it's that time of year again folks! Time for JW BF / EOY predictions for expanded releases from our favorite independent labels. Still a possibility of an Intrada release this year as well as LLL. I only included most likely IMO, removing SW / IJ films as well as post-2005 films.

I’d love to see the Jim Titus treatment on this! No doubt it’d be 5000% better than what we currently have 😂
-
And yet it cost $275M to make it 🤣. Can’t wait to see this become the nex Flop-buster
-
Well, the OST was released on December 11th, 1991. Right around the corner!

It's TLW diorama insert that wasn't ready for initial pressing for the latest LLL set lol

I went to FB and couldn't find this post, is it only available to view for certain folks?

Still waiting on mine to ship from the last time it was available to order…

So definitely a couple releases in the works 👍🏻 hopefully at least 1 this year
-
Well only 4 months left in the year and still no JW release from Intrada. Was it said to be one or two releases this year? I’m on my phone and don’t want to go through 20-ish pages 😂
-
Not sure if I like them going for sale right away on BF, esp if it’s something I really want but will be asleep and may miss out on the initial batch.

RIP Jimmy Buffett 😭
in my truck earlier on SXM radio Margaritaville channel they were playing the song “I Wave Bye Bye”. I had never heard it before but wow talk about a tear-jerker. Super sky-point to ya Jimmy!

Why was that? Would've been nice to see something either pics or video from the event.
