Seriously, though. Production on Indy V begins this late spring / early summer. I hope that not only Karen Allen returns as Marion, given that Indy and Marion were married at the end of the last film, but John Rhys-Davies returns as Sallah. I remember that in a recent interview he expressed great interest in reprising the role. I hope both of them are announced as part of the cast as time goes by.

I don’t have much of an input on the new movie since we know zip about it, but I think it’d be super cool if it opened like Temple of Doom did(my favorite one), with the Indy typeface and music that introduces the title, versus the other 3 movies where the titles just pops up and the music is still slow and introducing itself. I want something loud and and glorious.

It's a biopic so I'm not sure it's the best movie to compare with. Remember that he wrote Logan which was incredible.

Jeez Spielberg's got ANOTHER movie in production??

And sometimes I wonder why people that are totally cynical about it are even on this forum – Even if the score turns out to be just ‘serviceable’, more Williams as he nears his 90s is *always* a good thing. And I have a feeling he’ll still do that Spielberg film.

Popular opinion (I think): John Williams is the best choice for both films

Maybe this time they'll finally give him a computer.

Just to know JWFan has been given another Williams score to look forward to and to anticipate together is immensely exciting. I'm so thrilled. 
 
If you'd told me that in the span of 10 years, Williams would be working with the likes of Rian Johnson, JJ Abrams, and James Mangold, I would have called you crazy. It's so neat that Williams has gotten to spend what could have easily been his retirement era working with an entirely new generation of filmmakers that have all come to dominate the industry in different ways. 

Yeah, I think he'll also score both Indy 5 and Little Spielberg. The latter probably won't demand a huge score, which means Williams can write a 40-50 minutes score that'll do just fine. 
 
If all goes according to plan, he'll write Indy 5 later in 2021 and record it in Jan or Feb of next year. After that, he can dedicate himself to Spielberg's movie.

My theory about why the Indy box was discussed but didn't progress suddenly making more and more sense... 
 
I'm just glad we won't have a repeat of the TLJ situation where we didn't have confirmation until right before Williams saw the film. It shows how highly JW is rated by Disney/Lucasfilm he's up there with Harrison Ford on their announcement of the key 3.
 
I cannot believe he'll be writing new Indy music in around six months time... what a time to be alive! 

Unpopular opinion: I care more about a new Indy score more than another Spielberg drama score.

If/when Hook gets a proper release, they could use the "Give us the Hook!" video loop for about 10-20 seconds, followed by the big reveal of the set.

@La La Land Records Are there any plans to include more video announcements similar to the one for Far and Away and Superman:TM?  That was a nice added touch to two spectacular releases!

I think Spielberg just has the mindset of "the movie is the movie" and isn't interested in people getting to see "how the sausage was made".  I would suspect every Behind The Scenes stuff we get for any of his films all have to be approved by him and he'll have them edit out whatever he doesn't want to be included

Spielberg seems to really be against deleted scenes (except for a few occasions) and commentary tracks for whatever reason. I wonder what kinds of things we'll get... in the future

Sadly I think if they didn't take this opportunity to do it, they never will. Baffling omission.
