My physical copy arrived today from Quartet!
 
I was surprised to see its a digipak, not in a jewel case

I have that LP, it's what I had John Williams sign when I met him
 
 

I just completed a massive update to the main post.
 
In general, this is probably the smallest "Upcoming" section that has existed since I created this thread
 
I added in links to the new Hook and Heidi/Eyre releases, and did some other cleanup in a few spots
 
But the biggest part of the update is finally making the Catalog Expansion/Premiere/Reissue section reverse-Chronological like the rest, and adding in some threads that just weren't there before.  Phew!
 
If anyone knows of any Williams releases that aren't listed there, please let me know!

Masters Of The Universe: Revolution is being released on the 25th of January.

If it has a date and Williams himself was involved it does indeed matter greatly to the Chronology!

Worth bumping this thread since this revision has been expanded upon to now be a new arrangement for Anne-Sophie Mutter, which premiered last night in Pittsburgh. It’s about another minute longer, and the new ending has the harp play a statement of the Imperial March that’s quite reminiscent of the end of the Vader’s Death cue in Return of the Jedi - chilling that a piece about the character’s childhood now directly references his ending. Hopefully this version gets recorded, it was quite lovely and felt generally more ominous than the original.

Alas, this may be one of those be happy with what you have moments where I will just have to cherish the first Quartet Heidi and La La Land Jane Eyre that I'm already extremely lucky to have on my shelf.

The original OST album wasn't a masterpiece of album programming though.  It's a mostly chronological, mostly unedited assembly of cues that happened to have been recorded already when they had to lock a program in order for the album to be in stores the same week as the film, with no concert arrangements or anything specially recorded just for it, and one entire track playing at the wrong speed. 
 
It's very clear to me that if schedules had been different, some of the arrangements we eventually got on the Williams/Spielberg CD probably would have been recorded at the film's scoring sessions, and the OST album would have come out different than it is, certainly including some of the music that hadn't been recorded yet like the climax of the score.
 
The new LLL main program and Disc 3 program are assembled with love and care and are approved by John Williams.
