You'll sound too nasal once I slit your throat.

Ollie reacted to TheUlyssesian in Which three living directors you would most like to see Williams compose a score for?
Nolan just so we can dispel the delusion of his considerable fan base that his other films have good music.

Ollie reacted to Disco Stu in John Williams: Unpopular Opinions
Apparently unpopular: Saving Private Ryan is a deeply affecting, wonderful film score.

No.
No.
No.
No.
Heck no.
This is 50/50; I disagree with the first part of this statement, yet I agree with the second half.
No.
Final score: 0.5 out of 7. This post really puts the "un" in "unpopular".

Drango - Elmer Bernstein (Kritzerland)
Underrated gem. Dramatic score about an immediately post-Civil War Georgia town. This is my favorite kind of Bernstein score. Lots of complex, ambiguous drama to score. Brooding at times, gentle at others, always thoughtful and interesting. One of my favorite random purchases I've made this year.

Or maybe disc 2 would be Silvestri's rejected score!
-
Ollie reacted to Richard Penna in Jerry Goldsmith THE MUMMY Intrada 2CD set!!!
If you're talking about Goldsmith's, then you'll have heard the iso score rip, which with a few tweaks sounds pretty much like an official release. (it plays during a menu, so no volume dips)
Do you actually like the score, or was that your usual 'it's ok' for non-Williams stuff?
