I haven't seen Still Alice, but I still think The Theory of Everything is more genuine than it's made out to be. More genuine, in particular, than The Imitation Game, which I enjoyed, but which was way too artificial and Hollywood-streamlined to deserve its screenplay Oscar. Spongebob fans (except for the inevitable perverts that all cartoon series fans have for some reason) are well rounded for the most part. If you watch Doctor Who on a regular basis, you will love this movie, because it has a lot of the same quirky vibes and plot elements. Seriously, if you like Doctor Who, go watch it.
