Miguel Andrade 1,719 Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 According to some Facebook posts, fellow member @Greg1138 has passed away. I had some regular contacts with him during the mid to late 00's (I remember recurring conversations about Minority Report) and then just occasionally exchange a mail. I saw he last logged it last year. I wonder if he was still in touch with anyone around here. Manakin Skywalker, Andy, Smaug The Iron and 10 others 1 12
Miguel Andrade 1,719 Posted May 31, 2024 Author Posted May 31, 2024 I think the last time I had a talk with him was pre pandemic, when his brass band released a CD of film music: https://www.glospoliceband.org/cdinfo
Andy 7,523 Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 My goodness that’s terrible. Only 54 years old. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.
Edmilson 12,200 Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 Geez, he was so young! Younger than my parents are today RIP
Andy 7,523 Posted June 1, 2024 Posted June 1, 2024 In my haste I did the math wrong. His profile says he was born in 1974. Only 50. Younger than me.

Sweeping Strings 3,378 Posted June 1, 2024 Posted June 1, 2024 A thread I participate in a lot, what with being a Whovian. R.I.P. Greg. Naïve Old Fart 1
Naïve Old Fart 12,875 Posted June 1, 2024 Posted June 1, 2024 R.I.P. Greg 1138, and thank you for creating The Doctor Who Thread.
Thor 9,347 Posted June 2, 2024 Posted June 2, 2024 Very sorry to hear this. I'm not familiar with said member, but two JWFAN deaths in such a short timespan is very sad.
filmmusic 3,195 Posted June 2, 2024 Posted June 2, 2024 Another one? RIP. I think we had done some score trades in the long past with Greg.
Richard P 5,234 Posted June 2, 2024 Posted June 2, 2024 A fellow Brit, who started our little Doctor Who community amongst other contributions. RIP.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,158 Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 Awful news. Another one? Who knew John Williams would outlive his fans? RIP Greg. Stefan Cosman Jill Sandwich and Jay 2
Groovygoth666 1,191 Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 Sorry to see another member pass, and so young, condolences to his family and friends. R.I.P Greg Mr. Hooper 1
Mr. Breathmask 624 Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 Say it isn't so. Revisiting this place is becoming increasingly bewildering. Time comes for us all, I suppose, but this is just too young. R.I.P. Greg. Mr. Hooper 1
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,158 Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 It's fucked up. Stefan Cosman
King Mark 3,926 Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 I don't clearly remember his posts but sad that a second JWfan died. I don't want to make a joke but JWfans are starting to pass away before the SW prequels had an official score expansion.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,158 Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 There are more important things in life though. Nick1Ø66 1
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,158 Posted November 5, 2024 Posted November 5, 2024 15 years ago, i may have agreed There's thankfully more to life than unreleased Williams music

A good portion of us who saw Star Wars in 77 were already in our 30’s and 40’s, or older, by the time TPM rolled around.
Jill Sandwich 11,012 Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 I wish it would hurry up a bit for myself.
