Romão 2,274
I sugested this a while back. In the same vein of what we did a few years ago concerning the top 10 JW scores, we could try to sum up an "oficial" JWfan.net top 10 of JW's themes or tracks...dunno..establishing criteria of what is indeed considered a theme.I just think it could be fun. Morlock 11
I think it would be impossible to pick 10. We should start at the best 100 themes, and see where to go from there.
John Crichton 4
100 might be a but much. I think 25 would be good. John- who knows what his #1 theme is, but would have to think a long time about the rest of the list.

King Mark 3,631
As a compliment to the screen visuals and the instant evocation of a shark attack this theme conjures,it may warrent a place in the top 10,but I find that as a standalone musical piece it does not.K.M. Adam 1
This is kind of fun to think about. I think Jaws would be an obvious choice for a top theme if we're thinking in terms of impact or noteriety (and maybe we are). But I'm going to go the imprecise route of thinking about personal favorites.1. Han and Leia?s Theme2. Born on the Fourth of July main theme3. Far and Away Love Theme4. JFK - Main Theme5. Jurassic Park, non-fanfare main theme6. AI - theme heard in Blue Fairy encounter and later in the film7. The Force Theme 8. Theme for American Journey, Civil Rights and Women?s Movement9. Docteur Qui 1,544
What really constitutes a theme though? It could be considered a motif more than a theme. Themes develop and variate, something you really can't do with two notes. Then again, "theme" and "leitmotif" have become interchangeable, and as the shark does have its own leitmotif I guess it could be called a theme... Whatever...
Mr. Breathmask 555
Yes, but just listen to the Main Titles. It may be those two notes, but it just builds and builds and builds into this great crescendo. That's really the greatest part about those two notes, they way it devolops, and the way it makes you feel like there's really coming something at you. Henry B 50
Jaws? Does it have a theme?JW sure can't lay claim to the two-note motif, but his arrangement of it has some real thematic material. There's the horn motif, (VII-bIII-VI), and the, uh, good guy theme? Sorry, I haven't seen the film. But, you know, it's the one that play midway through the main theme on the glockenspiel.
