Medal Of Honor boxset - 9 scores (5 Giacchino, 3 Lennertz, and 1 Djawadi) on 8 discs

The track titles already appear to be in EAC. Did LLL encode the discs with CD-Text or has someone already inputted them all? Not too many mistakes either.

EDIT: And curiosly, I couldn't find the catalog number anywhere in the box set. I had to go online to find out it was LLLCD1159

Do the linernotes contain the track-by-track analysis of the music as the original releases did?

No! It's a 40 page booklet, including the covers.

21 of those are just pictures

12 is a new essay by Dan Goldwasser

4 list the union musicians that performed on Rising Sun, Airborne, and MOH 2010.

The last 3 are credits for each individual score and this release

The entire box is structured identical to FSM's Blue Box. There's the box itself, holding two 4-disc clamshells and the liner notes, which are extra wide (like the length of the Rhino Superman notes)

Clamshell 1:

front cover = The original MOH 1999 front art

inside front cover = The original Underground front art

inside back cover = The original Frontline front art

back cover = 3 original front arts shrunk down - Allied Assault, European Assault, Pacific Assault

Clamshell 2

front cover = The original Rising Sun front art

inside front cover = The original Airborne front art

inside back cover = The original MOH 2010 front art

back cover = Unique art saying "Medal Of Honor bonus disc" over some dog tags

Each clamshell contains a single "4 page" cover that is just white text on black background with all the track listings and copyright info

Shame about those track-by-track analyses. I thought they gave you a nice context to the music and also layed out the thematic progressions in the music in a great fashion.

But that aside it looks like a classy production worth waiting for. :)

EDIT: As mentioned before LLL is very busy at the moment. This notification is now on the top of La-La Land's site:

We are experiencing a high volume of orders. We appreciate your patience as we process and ship your CDs. Thank you for your patronage.

So I guess the high sales are over taxing their delivery system. I am happy for LLL for good sales but it means a bit longer wait for some of us I guess.

I got the following from Dark Delicacies just 10 mins after I e-mailed (at 2am here, so only just got it):

It was mailed out of the 19th of April; first class mail. There was no need to charge extra shipping on your order.

Sue

Looks like they don't send confirmations out to everyone then. Worries over :).

And can't find mention now of increased postal rates from DD either here or FSM... strange.

so DD shipped to europe at the same US rate? damn...

OK guys.. i can make a chronological tracklist of Airborne... when i have it on my hands.

Are there hidden Airborne tracks?

Damn easter... Postal services dont work here yesterday and today.

Clamshell 1:

front cover = The original MOH 1999 front art

inside front cover = The original Underground front art

1999-2000 art or itunes art (as shown in the press release)

i like the former and the latter just does not click with me too much

By original, you mean the artwork on the CD releases, correct? Not the crappy ones for the iTunes releases? Because those were the ones shown in the picture of the whole set.

Someone nincompoop put the title to Underground as "Audio CD".......

But it appears the other 7 discs are titled correctly, I caught a few mistakes in some the track titles, no spacing between words.

I like the artwork LaLaLand used but I can only find them mostly at 200 x 200 on the web. I could just use the original artwork for most of them but I wouldn't mind changing it up some.

Listened to Medal of Honor (2010), and I have to say I kind of dig it.

Koray was right about that Heroes Aboard theme. Love the reprise in Wiyar.

Could have done without that Enemy Down rap though. :folder:

It's not sealed; I merely left the shrinkwrap on, only cutting enough of it away to get the discs out

oooh those are much better, thyanks for that!

I wish! unfortunately I only own the 3 discs above so I could only scan those. Unfortunately that's the best my crappy little home scanner can do and I don't have a ton of time to clean them but they work for iTunes.

It's been posted here already. Surprisingly, it's almost about anything but music.

Anyway, how the sound quality compare to the old releases? Is there a big difference? Not that it matters all that much since I haven't got a single disc from this series.

Oh, thanks I totally missed it.

Too bad he didn't provide anything more than this short PR-like blurb. I hoped he said something about Giacchino.

Well at least he did not call Michael Giacchino the greatest musical story teller the world of game scoring has ever known. ;)

It's not a huge difference, but it does sound better, Airborne included.

Edit: Yeah, Airborne definitely sounds punchier.

Mine was the same way. The paperwork was one day ahead of the actual transaction. Keep in mind, this is Easter weekend. I ordered a computer part from Newegg, which went from east of me to the UPS sorting facility west of me, and won't show up until Monday.

Hey, i was just listening to the Boston Pops CD 'Unforgettable' and I think Giacchino based his 'Road to Berlin' source music from Cole Porter's 'Begin the Beguine'.

I dont mean it as any kind of critizism, it's rather well reworked, like Williams' Swing, Swing, Swing.

Hi guys! I don't post very often on the forum, but I read with interest every day.

Some years ago I found on the website of Mark Banning (if I remember correctly...) the high resolution version of the artwork for the promo of "Medal of Honor: Rising Sun," but unfortunately have now been removed.

If you are interested I have posted on ImageShack. Enjoy!

Moreover, this is an artwork that I found attached to an old review of the score of "Medal of Honor: Allied Assault" written by Thomas Glorieux: I do not know whether or not an official image, but unfortunately I could not find a resolution better.

And for those who didn't know, the LLL box set is indeed incomplete when it comes to Airborne - there's another 8 minutes of or of Airborne music not included - that WOULD have fit on the bonus disc if they had wanted to! Frustrating!

Anyways, here's a new list with the unreleased music integrated in, noting which game file the music can be heard in if you own the PC version of the game. Again thanks to Luke Skywalker for doing all the work :)

It should match your spreadsheet. Are you saying your spreadsheet is wrong, or I didn't match it?

I dunno. Im sure i put misc12 and allied advance stinger 2 into the score.

maybe i'm reading it wrong because you split the tracks i had combined and maybe names dont match, which i have in my mind.
