Not new (they are from December 22) but they are on sale right now!
https://www.performancesamples.com/pacific-ensemblestrings/
They are probably the best strings you can get along with CSS and Spitfire's AR One.
The shorts in particular are the best ones I know.
Only thing it doesn't do good is runs, I use the CSS marcato legato patch for this, or should I say "used", since the new Abbey Road Violins by Spitfire are just stellar.
The mix of Pacific Strings is very film-score like, much clearer than CSS.
If you want to do a "bread and butter library " purchase I would recommend it, but with the new Abbey Road series by Spitfire coming now those will be the most deep sampled strings to be ever made, but therefore much more expensive (and more resource heavy, Performance Samples libraries are extremely low on resources.)

I don't understand why Williams hasn't kept a copy.
It is his music after all.

Imagine if there isn't any John Williams release at all on Black Friday. Haha.

We've had at least one JW release every BF since 2015 save for one infamous year, 2020.

filmmusic got a reaction from JTN in New Goldsmith Lionheart recording coming in 2024
This is I thought so too.
That's why I am not a fan of re-recordings of perfectly presented scores vs re-recordings of scores whose master tapes have been lost or I don't know what else.

If I may ask, what's wrong with the Varese release of Lionheart?

filmmusic got a reaction from Andy in What Is The Last Film You Watched? (Older Films)
I liked the first one ( I imagine it would have been a sensation back then) which I have bought in 4k, but not this one!
I saw the trailer for the 3rd one. I'm not sure I'd like to continue this series..

filmmusic got a reaction from JTN in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny - Isolated Score Track
You haven't watched the film?
Well, it made me appreciate the original trilogy even more! (although it was already high on my regard).
It feels strange that the worst of the Indiana Jones films will have an isolated score track...

filmmusic reacted to Thor in The Quick Question Thread
Preisner is always a good opportunity. "Aslak's Dream" from SKYGGENES DAL (that entire score, btw). FORGOTTEN WE'LL BE, THE SECRET GARDEN?
Lotsa Vangelis, but maybe that's too electronic for you?
Maybe also something from CLOSE (Hadjadj)? Some Tom Newman (LITTLE CHILDREN)? ABSOLUTION (McKeon, a bit of el guitars)? WHITE BIRD IN A BLIZZARD (Guthrie & Budd, a bit of el guitars)? RIchard Robbins? LOREAK (Gaigne)?, something Söderqvist (KING OF DEVIL'S ISLAND, BROTHERS....).
Sorry I couldn't be more specific today, I'm a bit strapped for time myself and can't do the usual thoroughness.

I watched 1980 The Changeling with George C. Scott and his wife Trish Van Devere.
This is a very good and still chilling movie!!
I was really surprised to get goose bumps running through my bones at key moments of this film.
I loved it.
