This performance from Cleveland, OH on August 2019 had a live-choir.

See video of that said rehearsal here:

However, this one from Rochester, NY last Friday didn’t.

Here's a brief video of that concert.

Perhaps in TCG’s production of the ‘Batman (’89)’ L2P concerts, they have created 2 sets—one with live-choir and the other with a pre-recorded choir, like in the Harry Potter L2P concerts.

Since the theatrical cut was shown at the concert, it would be 3 hours, plus a 20 minute intermission. So, figure about 11:25pm.

    Also...

I hope, for Radio City Music Hall's sake, that they don't book it in Feb'24, but sooner. The public could lose interest by then.

Did you see this one in the Tanglewood schedule, @Jay

Open Rehearsal: Keith Lockhart conducts Harry Potter and the… | BSO

When I saw, 'Open Rehearsal', I am thinking, "Wow, finally a chance to hear even portions of this score without the film's sound."

Then I saw the time--August 26 at 10:30am--that is the morning of the show.

During my research into this, that schedule suggests that it is the last rehearsal before the show--the dress rehearsal where the orchestra would work with the film's sound, projection and all the technical stuff (the house lights, the click-track, etc).  Still, I'm very surprised that the orchestra-administration would invite the public to any rehearsal of a LTP concert.

I would like to be wrong on whether that rehearsal would have the film's sound with the music playing.  Jay, since Boston is your side of the street, maybe you can check-it out for us.

There are sets of the Harry Potter LTP concerts that includes a live choir and a prerecorded choir.

For ROTJ, 'Jedi Rocks' is handled the same as the 'Cantina Band' source cues--no orchestra is playing on stage, the music is coming from the film's audio track.  However, the music for the 'Victory Celebration' sequence (as well as the sequence where the Ewoks 'escort' our heroes to their village) is performed on stage with live percussion-- rattles, xylophone, bass drum--but no live choir.

So, now do we think that this is a full excerpt? Or is it multiple sections of a longer recording stitched together for the documentary? I don't think I hear any obvious edit points, but can't quite tell.

The Blossom Music Festival, who presented the LTP concert of FOTR with the Cleveland Orchestra last July, has just announced that they will be doing TTT this July.

The Lord of the Rings: Two Towers (clevelandorchestra.com)

So, if Blossom is on board to do the trilogy, then perhaps Radio City Music Hall may do it too, seeing as though they have increased the number of shows from 2 to 4 for FOTR last week due to 'overwhelming demand'.

The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra in the USA is re-doing the LTP concerts of the 1st three Star Wars--they did ANH this past May, they’ll be doing ESB this coming May, and it’s a good bet that they’ll do ROTJ in May, 2024--and that is in lieu of rescheduling TFA and TLJ which were originally scheduled for 2021, but neither one of them took place.

Also, this past September, the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra redone ANH after first doing it back in July of 2018. And that orchestra has never done TFA nor TLJ.  I guess these orchestras are getting cold-feet on doing concerts from an unpopular 3rd trilogy.

Definitely, a big low brass kaboom that slowly turned in to the voyage cue before the musical kaboom ended.  That's it from your second link but with a live orchestra it was a powerful orchestral wallop.  Also quite memorable, a big low brass crunch on the hoover damn that I didn't remember before.  I think all of it was in the film, just mixed with sound, it wasn't as impactful and spectral as it is live.
For me, it didn't work on one browser but worked on the other so just a matter of switching browsers.

Yes exactly!  They sounded absolutely fantastic, completely nailing all the nuances to a score I've heard millions of times.  When Kal-El finally turns in to Superman was a major goosebump moment.  Goosebumps also during Krypton at the start and when Lois is rescued from the falling helicopter.  Here are a few seconds of the main theme to get a sense for how great they sounded.

I hadn't seen the film in maybe 15 years so forgot much of it.  One thing I realized is they seemed to use way more cameras back in the '70s.  The editing was so great, they would flash between multiple cameras of the car flipping over in microseconds.  Today, it would be shaky Cam.  Also, the Smallville segment is so gorgeously shot.  I don't know if it was a different cinematographer but it's absolutely beautiful and so well acted.  Then again, this might be the first time I've seen it on the big screen since the 70's.  JW was firing on all cylinders.  One moment that had me tearing up (surprisingly) was when Clark was leaving Smallville.  His mom's acting is so tender and beautiful.  The music so nostalgic.  It's hard to describe how this scene impacted me....I never felt it as much as I did last night but it was just so beautiful.  I also thought to myself while watching how youthful everyone was and now, I think they're all dead except for our dear Johnny who is still working!!!!!  I think this was the first superhero movie so kids raised on Marvel might find this quite jarring in its pacing, acting style was very comical (over the top) but it had hints of maturity and gravitas not expected (eg: Marlon Brando, Gene Hackman, the third act performance by Christopher Reeves was quite serious while act 2 was pure comedic).

If anything, the LTP screen would be too small for this film (as it's often the case in these concerts). Superman - The Movie was, is, and will always be a perfect movie to watch on the largest screen possible.

I'm sure it would. I think that most people still see them as the icons that represent the man of steel on the big screen.
