Ever since Disney bought Lucasfilm for $4billion, they have no reason to license out their scores to specialty labels. If they want expanded Star Wars or Indiana Jones scores on the market, they'll release them on their own music label - Disney Records.
 
That doesn't mean they can't hire MM or some other competent producer to produce them, but it does mean they wont come out on LLL, Varese, Intrada, etc.

Looks like we may have a 40th Anniversary theatrical release date set up for November 25th!

Hoping for Williams iconic score to be tied in with the anniversary release 
(as it should be) Hoping for a stand alone 2 or a 3cd release! That would be nice. 

I think I will order this with SCHINDLER'S LIST; LLL might have a sales promo on it next to it.

Wonderful and not unexpected news! Think we all predicted this in light of its anniversary. 
 
I'm guessing, with the confirmation of 2 CDs, it will follow the ET model:
Chronological film score on disc 1 (how long is that exactly?) Remastered OST on disc 2 (assembled from scratch using fresh scans of the scoring sessions) Source music/alternates rounding out the second disc (utilising the 15 minutes of spare after the OST presentation).  
Guessing the concert suites will be placed at the end of disc 1's film score presentation, if there's room.

This is indeed wonderful news!
 
Although SPR and Schindler's List are probably two scores that least need an expansion, it's still good news. 
 
I really hope SL will be 2 CDs, with the full score, along with alternates and some non-JW composed but JW conducted instrumental pieces. I especially love "Por Una Cabeza" and "In einem kleinen Café in Hernals." These two pieces are just mind-blowingly good and fitting.

Ok. I hope it comes early. But I suppose if the movie is coming out in December the this  CD set should be 'basically' in that time frame.

Yea, the Jim Titus / Matessino / Spielberg / Williams line is top notch as far as presentation goes

This is fantastic!  I bet the LLL guys are absolutely beaming to see their name on that poster!   Cool stuff. 

Phew, you guys had me worried with OST + 2 or 3 bonus tracks.

It won't be Saving Private Ryan and Schindler's List only.
 
Anyway, this will be one experience in the theater that will be in my memory for a long time (that was the case with the other anniversary screenings I mentioned, but this one is particularly meaningful).

The SACD will be all you'll need.

Hey, maybe we'll get a 2CD presentation with the film version on disc 1 and OST on disc 2? Who knows.

I will have to get this but will pair this up as more releases come forward.

That is the vinyl release I was expecting 36 years ago.

Yes but they wont press another 4000 right away. I suppose they will be press 1000 first and as sale proceeds they will keep bringing it up. I'm sure the 4000 units was probably part of the deal they signed and they have the LP vinyl also planned.
