Well that looks like the smallest expansion like ever man! But since I don't own this Horner fantasy score I am tempted to get it.

This is an underrated Horner gem... but I there's only a couple of minutes extra material, and the old CD already has great sound, so I won't be getting the new edition.

Anyone that hasn't yet... get it !

It's a great score. You won't regret buying it.

Not familiar with the unreleased music, though.

Same here. One of Horner's best for me. I'd be much more interested in this than in Braveheart or Dances With Wolves, but it doesn't look like it's really worth upgrading from the old release.

Believe it or not, I've never heard this score before!

I'll be buying the new edition for sure, and can't wait to hear it!

That score was a compulsory buy back when it was released. I've just noticed that the track order on the new release is identical to the original CD (except for the extra tracks and the songs included at the end). Does it mean that the original album was already in chronological order? Or did they follow the album sequence for this release?

Very pleasant, adventurous and pretty magical Horner score. Even though the movie is pretty bad, the material still lent itself to good score writing. The OST was close to complete already, wasn't it? Explains the moderate expansion here. The main them is typical Horner but the music itself is infectious.

BB and me* have posted this track like a million times. Horner doing pirate music, what else could you ask for?

*) me too! Piratey and seafaring music. Slightly British.

E.T.'s review: A candy-coated Krull. I like it!

That is a good way to put it, Plus a sprinkle of marshmallowy Willow on top.

Mine arrived today. The back cover art is really cool!

I can't wait to hear this score for the first time. But maybe I should see the film first?

  • 6 years later...

I see that this is inexplicably back in stock again, although I was under the impression that it was sold out a while ago. Is this score worth picking up?
