Davide Leo 0
Hi, I own the Rca special editions of ESB e ROTJ in jewel cases. Do you think it's worth buying the bookbound editions also? I assume there's no other difference than the format.

Popular Post Ricard 2,245
The "cardboard" editions look nicer IMHO. Miguel Andrade, bruce marshall and Marian Schedenig

It was a very bad design. bruce marshall

I need to check that mine are still okay. I haven't taken the physical discs out since I bought them circa early 2000's. 21 hours ago, Davide Leo said: Hi, I own the Rca special editions of ESB e ROTJ in jewel cases. It depends, if you're a completist they are nice to have, but I prefer standard jewel cases. This post reminds me that I still need to find the Drew Struzan SE poster art versions of ESB and ROJ. Popular Post rough cut 1,715
I bought them in the book-edition when they came out, and they are beautiful. Discs are also fine, unaffected by the slipcase. My edition also have the laser engraved discs (or they are “holographic”) which is neat. Manakin Skywalker 4,900
Now if you really want a set that will break down and literally fall apart over time, just get the Phantom Menace Ultimate Edition. crumbs and aj_vader
Bespin 8,489
Add a protection booklet for prevention. Those cardboards are dangerous. aj_vader
Popular Post thx99 1,740
Anyone else lucky enough to score the larger cardboard box meant to house the three individual bookbound releases? I was able to get one back in the day from a music store in a mall (remember those?). This isn't my picture but this is what I'm referring to... Dr. Rick 1,157
I would pay $$ for that outer cardboard box to put my original book bound releases! The shelf wear on the individual outer sleeves is excessive and disappointing to look at on my shelf.
