Matt C 454
Warner Brothers is closing a deal for Lynsey Addario's memoir It's What I Do: A Photographer's Life of Love & War with Steven Spielberg attached to direct, with Jennifer Lawrence starring.http://deadline.com/2015/03/steven-spielberg-jennifer-lawrence-warner-bros-its-what-i-do-lynsey-addario-war-photographer-1201384706/No telling whether Spielberg will actually make this, or let it lapse for someone else to pick up. Quintus 5,399
This could be good. But female war correspondents never look like Lawrence. Mind you, Meryl Strep is too old now ain't she.

#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,265
Iraq of Afghanistan IIRC. One of the ones you guys were actively involved in. I think the Beeb sent their heavy hitters in for some patriotic fluffing.

Matt C 454
It would be nice if Spielberg took his time and lent his name to stuff he'll actually want to stick with and direct, not just a passing fancy.

Not Mr. Big 4,639
I've sort of changed my mind about this movie. This might actually yield an interesting score from John Williams. The underlying story appears to have a stronger emotional current than the stodgy looking (from what I've gathered from the pics) St. James Bridge movie and it gives Williams a chance to write more middle-eastern music, which is mostly underrepresented in his filmography. Popular Post Jay 37,364
I had somehow missed the news that Spielberg officially abandoned this, then Ridley Scott picked it up in October 2018 and cast Scarlett Johansson instead of Jennifer Lawrence, who then dropped out the following day after finding out it is funded by the Saudi crown prince, Mohammad bin Salman and there has been no further news since! https://www.theguardian.com/film/2018/oct/24/scarlett-johansson-saudi-arabia-mohammed-bin-salman-lynsey-addario-funding-turned-down The Illustrious Jerry, Holko, pete and 1 other
crumbs 14,316
Haha Spielberg AND Scott, two directors notorious for taking on and developing projects that never see the light of day. Would suck for anyone looking forward to this film, doubt it's coming anytime soon.

Ollie 1,059
This shows how far Spielberg has fallen off my radar. I didn’t realize this was a post from 2015. I normally don’t look at the dates under the post.
crumbs 14,316
I miss the days where Spielberg took on projects that surprised me or were daring. He's become very safe lately, which seems like such a waste of his talent.
