I enjoyed this, probably more then most, but I still had a lot of issues, particularly with how they handled The Last Jedi stuff. I also thought that Palpatine's return thematically didn't make as much sense as it could have. I will say that the last scene got to me, it helps that most of the performances were pretty good, and John Williams's score was fantastic as ever, but it's clear that they should have had properly plotted out this trilogy from the start. In the long run, it really felt all disconnected.

IDK - I grew up with a burping sarlaac and came of age with Jar Jar stepping in Eopie crap.  The TLJ humor works much better for me.

Wait, was the Chewie porg scene really detested by people? Man.  Do you guys feel like it was a massive political statement or something?  I don't even think Rian Johnson is a vegetarian.  To me, it was just a gag that read like Chewie had his dinner ruined.

I just find it bizarre that some people's entire movie experiences hinge on the unsullied element of surprise for absolutely every facet of the film itself, as if that 1980 ESB reveal will ever be replicated at any level.
