I would go to the theatrical release if it were a 70mm print, but I can project the Blu Ray at home and turn it up louder than the multiplex.

Nice! I’ve long wanted to see JP LTP; to see it at Tanglewood would be an experience at an altogether different level! I’m on the other coast so, alas, no JP for me tonight. (Hopefully the SF Symphony will get around to doing it sometime.)

I decided this afternoon to go see this at Tanglewood tonight!
 
I cannot wait.  To actually be able to hear pieces like "Journey To The Island", "High Wire Stunts", and "T-Rex Rescue and Finale" performed live is like a unfathomable idea from my youth actually becoming real.  Crazy!

I once got into an argument with a guy who claimed that the music in Vader's awakening (Qui-Gon's funeral music) was a rip from Shore's trilogy music.  People are just sometimes dumb.  

Yea snipping out that part if the wrap-up cue is too bad, but damn Edmilson's right the ending of this intended end credits is sooo good

I was 19 years old in the summer of 1999 when The Phantom Menace came out and I emailed Ricard about how the TPM PC game had unreleased music from the movie in it and he posted it on the home page.

Jimbo used A.I. (while still coming out against A.I.) to alter the look of his movies, which aren't actually 4K remasters. Faces and details will morph in the background because A.I. doesn't understand or care what to do with it. True Lies now looks like uncanny valley. 

I want to see what was intended originally, by the director, and the DP.
No more, and no less.
If a film has grain, then preserve the integrity of the film by keeping the grain.
I just want to see - as best as possible - what I saw at the cinema.

Not really, we just want accuracy and precision for the sake of preservation and authenticity. But retarded techheads like James Cameron want to eradicate history and heritage, and instead replace it with an artificial falsehood and then ridicule anyone who prefers natural fidelity in the reproduction of images. It's no different from loudness wars and the Atmosification happening in the music industry.

Some people want movies to have even more grain then when the film was fresh and new, just like vinyl hipsters prefer to listen to music that has pops and crackels.

Imagine being a child whistling in a dark underground parking garage and suddenly some strange man starts whistling back to you. :skull:
 

The End Titles suite from Attack of the Clones (the OST version, not that hack job that ended up in the final movie) is perhaps my favorite Star Wars end titles ever. Especially the ending part from 9:00 onwards when we get the Across the Stars theme on harpsichord and then a dark ending bridging Anakin's Theme from TPM to the Imperial March.
