Edmilson got a reaction from crumbs in Hans Zimmer's NO TIME TO DIE (2021)
"Sources had told us that Hans Zimmer was seen entering the EON offices. Apparently, the Academy Award winner composer had been lobbying for his Remote Control composers to score the upcoming James Bond blockbuster No Time to Die.

He said to the producers that he will arrange his own version of the iconic James Bond Theme and be one of the collaborators on the theme song, to be performed by Pharrell Williams, while most of the score will be composed and arranged by Benjamin Wallfisch, Steve Mazzarro, Andrew Kawczynski, Lorne Balfe and Junkie XL, although they will be credited as "Additional Composers".

Yeah, it is EXACTLY the same program of the FYC, which is a bummer, I was hoping maybe the OST would have a few unreleased tracks that the FYC didn't have. But maybe this is pretty much everything JNH recorded?

This score is probably even harder to rip properly than average, it's mixed low as hell, usually buried completely.

Yeah, right. Because as a film music fan, the first guy you think about when a new Star Wars film is announced, is "Fuck yes, Nathan Johnson!"

My favorite performance of Holdo's theme is not on Holdo's Resolve, but on this track, when the character is introduced. The noble horns reminded me a little of Shore's LOTR scores, specially the Gondor material:

Or The Good German over Babel, which is one of the more embarrassing winners and should have been disqualified, anyway, and Notes on a Scandal, Pan's Labyrinth, and The Queen weren't the stiffest competition in the world. Painless.

It was a pretty great year, I like all of those scores (although I personally would replace Goldenthal's Interview for James Horner's Legends of the Fall). But, for me, Newman's Shawshank deserved the Oscar that year, it is simply one of my favorite scores of all time.

This is a controversial opinion, but for me Newman should have won in 94 for The Shawshank Redemption. I like The Lion King, and of course the music is tremendously popular, but I love Shawshank's score even more.

Zimmer, on the other hand, should've won in 98, either for The Thin Red Line or The Prince of Egypt (which I like more than Lion King), or even both!

I don't think so. I listened to the recording session leak two or three times, and I still think it's a very dull score, although there are some cool unreleased material, like the complete Jungle Chase, specifically the early version of 5M40 Ugh, Vines.

So probably a reference to all the hard work Michael Kahn had to do to create a coherent action scene with all the ridiculous material he had on hands.

I love the music for when the Supremacy and the rest of the First Order fleet appears when the Resistance thinks they've escaped.  Fantastic version of Kylo's theme, and I love the small rhythmic motif right after that.  Last Jedi is brimming over with interesting little rhythmic motifs that never develop into anything.  As I've listened to the score many times over the past couple years, it's those small things that really add to the overall texture I've developed an appreciation for.
