It's such a non-issue, only the 2% with dog hearing seem to pick it up and the - as Roger rightly says - source is something put together outside the proper Goldsmith recording (i don't even want to know how much paperwork and extra tape stuff all of this entails).

Doesn't get much better than 90's Silvestri worked on by Matessino and Bulk.  Excellent score, brilliant release.

Varese should have used boobs for clues, since both cover arts released today prominently feature them

Demondm810 reacted to chrissiddall in James Horner - LEGENDS OF THE FALL in full score (Chris Siddall Publishing)
Most composers use orchestrators to "fill out" their music.  Due to the volume of music required and the often-short deadlines, it's necessary to delegate some of the work.  You may have seen some 4- or 8-stave sketches from the likes of John Williams or Jerry Goldsmith, which are usually very precise and prescriptive about which instruments or sections should take each line or note.  James usually sketched on full score paper.  The amount of information on them varied depending on how precisely he wanted a scene or beat to be handled.  Some parts were essentially fully scored out and orchestrated, others very basically sketched, leaving it to the orchestrator (who would doubtless also have received a verbal briefing).
Some cues were not written down, but dictated to the "soloist" players, such as "12m2 Revenge".  This was fairly common for James, and features in several scores such as Field of Dreams, and Clear and Present Danger.

This is a phenomenal release. Occasional cross-fading with the songs, but it does not hinder the listening experience in the slightest. All of the songs and score sound great! Love hearing Alan Menken’s entire score; a few unused cues and sections of music too!

"Why Me" is excellent. It's a shame they're not including the unused "Arabian Nights" reprise, but we've already got it on the Menken/Ashman box & the "King of Thieves" soundtrack.

I'm happy enough with the score - looks like they included everything... we just have to hope that "One Jump" and "A Whole New World" are the film versions...

The thing I loved about The Last Jedi was the fiery discussion behind it.

But once Star Wars stops being a relevant cultural force, there's nothing to talk about. The movie is over, the sequel came out. The sequel gave us nothing to talk about. There's no love and desire to wonder where we go next. Therefore, there's no reason to discuss the direction of Star Wars.

The Last Jedi is kind of like Return of the Jedi. It has an interesting core that has two or three characters standing around talking in a room. (Luke and Rey. Snoke and Rey, Rey and Kylo.) And it's fantastic. And then someone says "Oh, crap. We have a whole rest of the cast to deal with. And don't we need like pew pew pew?"

I was astonished at the time and I still am at how well the Rey and Kylo stuff works. It's not surprising that the Luke stuff works. Some people seems to act like this is a huge betrayal of the character or some drastic departure. "Luke eventually falls to the Dark Side" is practically a Star Wars cliche. Luke gets to expand and not fall into the trope of "And he's the bad guy now." Why didn't Hamill celebrate that? AND he's the hero at the end!

Everything outside of that is at most "Meh". Poe and Finn are wasted and then they introduce a decently interesting character (Rose) and they waste her too. BB-8 on the walker is as bad as anything in the prequels.

A lot of the stupidity is what he inherited from J.J. "Um... None of this First Order stuff made sense in the first movie. So it won't matter if I change it, because nobody knew what it meant in the first place." At the end of TFA the First Order had just lost it's enormous base. And the Republic is the standing government even if the capitol is gone. But now the First Order is powerful enough to hunt down... Everyone? What the f? And then J.J. took it back and got even dumber.

It's like Johnson said "Wow! I'm a Star Wars fan and now I'm going to spend millions of dollars to say all the interesting things I've always wanted to say about Star Wars! Oh, and I guess while I'm there I'll make a movie."

It was nice to see the cast. But yeah, I agree. My wife loves them.

For me, it was one of the most satisfying final episodes ever. Definitely suprassing BB. It summarises so many themes of the two series perfectly.

Really liked that. Can't necessarily say I *enjoyed* it because it was quite a heavy episode especially with bringing back Marie which was a lovely surprise actually. But I certainly appreciated where Jimmy and Kim ended up.

I liked that Kim came out of her shell and dipped her feet back into the legal world. Possibly the first step to becoming a lawyer again. I'm a little confused as to whether she is still vulnerable to a civil suit from Howard's widow?

Vince and Peter have often said that the Breaking Bad universe often involves facing the consequences of your actions so prison is the most appropriate place for Jimmy. Tracking his character journey through BCS definitely makes him a tragic character. He came quite close to having a good elder law practice and spending his life with Kim which would have been a very nice life indeed compared to where he ended up.

The only complaint is I would have liked to have seen more of Jimmy's decision making process on the plane to confess to everything. Nothing flashy, perhaps just an extended close up on Bob's face and let his facial expressions do the work, maybe also intercut with a flashback to Kim and Jimmy at some point to provide further context.

Having a quick look on social media, some people are saying they disliked it. I suspect people who expected fireworks similar to Felina will be disappointed. The show is different and the second half of this season was never headed in that direction.

In fact, you could argue that the episode where Kim and Jimmy break up is the finale to BCS, and the remaining episodes is a coda to the entire BCS / BrBa universe.
