Jay 37,441
The ending of Superbad is perfect. They realize they have to separate to be with their ladies. They grow up! Christopher MintzPlasse is perfect in that movie. He's more or less gone on to play variants of the same character for the rest if his career, but in this movie it's a completely original and inspired performance

Raiders of the SoundtrArk 2,436
Agree. Waititi is one of my favourite directors. I've discover him first with his Ragnarok and then Jojo Rabbit (my personnal favourite) since then I watching each of his movies and they all appear to be very good or excellent! Can't wait for his Next Goal Wins to be released and also his Thor and Star Wars project (but please without Göransson this time...)

bollemanneke 3,362
Never say never again. Well, I thought this couldn’t go wrong: Sean Connery playing Bond directed by the guy who did empire Strikes Back. Man, am I disappointed. But I’ll start with the good stuff. It took some time for me to get used to Connery again, and although I’ll always prefer Roger Moore, he’s quite good. Blofeld and Kim Basinger too. And I just loved Ruth, wish she had had more screen time. Oh, and the song is pretty neat too. Now, the bad stuff. M is off. Q is off. Give me Desmond Llewelyn! Parts of the movie are rather disjointed and I repeatedly had to consult the Wikipedia summary to understand why they were doing what they were doing. Fatima’s final scene is horrible and the light-hearted ending, while very welcome, is rushed. The first half isn’t really that interesting either. But I’ve saved the best for last: the score. My God. And there was me thinking Thomas Newman was the worst Bond composer. Well, I stand corrected. Okay, one or two moments were nice, but the bulk was awful. Mixed awfully. Brass. Then more brass! AND THEN EVEN LOUDER BRASS! Also, I don’t know who was present at the spotting session, but they clearly didn’t know the first thing about film music. Never again. bruce marshall 1,318
It's pretty awful. Too bad, because Brandauer is better than the original Largo. Missed opportunity😒 Btw There was a YT video where excerpts from other other Bond scores were substituted! Still sucks#

Sweeping Strings 2,384
There's no 'gunbarrel' and no Bond theme due to its unofficial status, an insipid song and score, Irvin Kershner deciding to direct it 'as if there'd been no previous Bond movies', a black Felix Leiter (23 years before Casino Royale did it) which SHOULD have been somewhat ground-breaking but seemingly no-one really noticed/cared, Connery having to take over many of the production duties due to the incompetence of producer Jack Schwartzman and saying that the production 'was a bloody Mickey Mouse operation'. Thunderball is better than it in every conceivable way. A Few Good Men - 'high-end' military courtroom drama directed by Rob Reiner (back when he could seemingly do no wrong) from a screenplay by Aaron Sorkin (adapting his own play) and with a terrific ensemble cast including Tom Cruise, Demi Moore, Kevin Pollak, Kiefer Sutherland, Kevin Bacon and an Oscar-winning Jack Nicholson. Strangely enough, it was being shown by SyFy.
